That's nice, you're in the minority though, and sharing this does not contribute anything meaningful to discussions about the very real problems with the game.
can´t wait for that... thanks for the news
I hope that's not the case. For those of us who played the game just fine, it needs to be fixed for everyone else to play. (I doubt my negative review will change, though. My friends don't seem willing to give them a do-over after they all gave up.)
This would not suck so bad if it was a terrible game, but its not. Respawn did an amazing job here.. they just put there trust in Unreal sadly.
I had this problem for a while until I read the solution when I was 2 hours into the game. You simply have to add EA Desktop to Steam, close the EA Desktop that is running and open it via Steam and then open the game while EA Desktop via Steam is also open first. And that's it, steam overlay working.
This is also a necessary workaround for some controllers, because an EA Desktop update broke controller support on some games a while back. I have access through the EA Play I get as part of my Game Pass Ultimate subscription, and out-of-box my Dualshock 4 just does not work, even though it had been fine on Fallen Order previously. So I have to do this to get Steam Input in the mix and fix everything.
