Has there been any word on when they will fix the port?
All I'm seeing from EA about it is them showing off their awards like "Best user experience" :claugh:. I bought the game during the last sale and the amount of performance issues and bugs was horrible. Are they planning on doing a proper port fix or are all their pc ports just left in this sort of state? I haven't played an EA game since the last Jedi game and that ran much better (at least for me).

Yeah I've been holding off.
Haven't been checking forums, but have the devs promised anything?
Or even addressed the issue?

I don't think they care to fix it. I played the game on the PS5 because I heard it played better. In my opinion, I really don't think it did. The game felt like a last gen game. The fps isn't a solid 60, there is really bad screen tearing on Koboh, and the characters all have a soft, lack of detail look to them.

Well they fixed Dead Space Remake, there's still a few claiming it's a constant stutter fest, but they refuse to say what their PC specs are, so I can't take them seriously, especially since it runs fine for me, and most others.

At first I thought that meant this game has a chance of being patched properly, but it really hasn't been after several attempts. If you take a look at Digital Foundry's latest tech review of Jedi Survivor, it isn't looking hopeful.

^What are your pc specs?

13700K, RTX 4080, 32GB 6400 RAM and W11. It also runs pretty cool since I use a 7000D case and Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 cooler. Clocks on CPU and GPU are stock, but I run the RAM at CAS 34 instead of the stock 36.

I get a fair bit of stutter in Jedi Survivor going into and coming out of cutscenes. I'm running it at 4K with DLSS on at Quality setting, but RT off. I'm thinking of trying DLSS Performance mode instead.

I remember the first part wasnt running well on standard ps4 either... I mean there is no excuse not to fix the game for a console.

You don't have many problems from the game because you have newest pc parts. The parts you have are powerful so you're able to brute force poorly optimized games.

Actually, as I said above, the game stutters quite a lot for me. Most videos I capture and upload require a LOT of editing time to remove lots of freeze frames where stutters occur.

The only builds that come anywhere NEAR close to brute forcing out those problems have a RTX 4090, and even those have stutter in transitional areas.

This is why I waited for over a year and got the game on a half price holiday sale, and I was quite upset when I found only the intro area at Coruscant runs smoothly.

Actually, even at Coruscant, especially first play through, I got stutter in some spots.

This is a review done after patch 7 from someone who tested it on lower end spec and high end spec that details many of the problems that still exist, regardless of spec.

one of the main issues I experienced on my pc was that textures popping in and out, as well as white flashes when panning the camera, in certain areas of the map. Did you experience any of that on the ps5? It is too distracting on my pc.

I've considered making the jedi survivor purchase on ps5, but I would feel bad about re-buying the game and restarting my progress, instead of the waiting for a PC fix. I made it as far Jedha before all the tech issues and bugs got progressively worst.

I've had not only white flashes here and there, but also really bad light flickering indoors, mostly at Pyloon's Saloon. There were two things I found that contributed to it and made it far worse, the 551.61 Nvidia driver, and Alt tabbing in and out of game.

I have found this game cannot handle being minimized, then going back to it, without getting very jittery. Whether you're doing it to see if an Instant Replay capture file has finished writing, or to check something about the game on YT, it's not advisable IMO to go in and out of the game like that.

In my opinion, it's garbage wherever you play it. The fps is all over the place. And there's a lot of screentearing, especially on Koboh. I couldn't believe how poorly the game ran on Koboh. It's inexcusable to me. And all the characters have soft textures. I noticed the white flash a few times as well. The story was good but the game felt like a ps4 game. I played God of War: Ragnorok on the ps5 again before playing Survivor and what a massive difference in quality there was. Survivor is just a half assed game in general when it comes to performance.

Guess it's a good thing I returned it right away. I take it there is no "fix" mod either?

None at all.

This thread makes me really sad. I played the first Jedi game recently cause it was so cheap, and I was actually really surprised at how decent the story was (the bar isn't very high for Star Wars right now unfortunately) and how fun it was.

I've been really wanting to play this game because I hear it does everything the first game did better, and now with the Spring Sale I can get it for a measly 30 BUCKS! But then I read the reviews, I see threads like this, and I wonder if I'll have a terrible experience that I'll never be able to complete due to constant crashing or if I'll be fine.

I have a decent enough rig (4070 12 gig, Ryzen 7 5800x, 32 gb of ram) and I only play at 1440p, so I think I might be fine but the shadow of doubt still lingers...
