This game cheats to win on hard modes
I shouldnt be surprised. D3 and other games do it too. But it is obvious. When you have a good enough grasp on the game, it will break its own rules to make sure you lose rounds. Playing on hardest modes with the right perks ought not to let even common enemies break their own mechanics multiple times in a row, all while supported by a big number of ranged adds who can also red attack you multiple times in a row, even in mid attack against a dodge where their attacks can follow you through till the end when they didnt before.

Not good, guys. We dont like it elsewhere, and we dont like it here. Cheating to win is baloney. ♥♥♥♥ you devs.

Beat this game on hard once. I am never playing it again. I have had enough of this broken ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Exactly, I beat fallen order on grandmaster and they somehow decided to move the goalposts on this entry so jedi master here is 10 times harder than fallen order's grandmaster. After taking 2 hours and 20 minutes to beat oggdo because of the 1 hit kills, infinite new combos including 4 red attacks in a row and 2 consecutive instakills (again moving goalposts) I'm considering whether I should just uninstall because as far as I'm concerned the rancor and darth vader fights are similar to this and I didn't pay to have a bad time. I can beat most games on the hardest difficulty and I always have positive kds/win loss ratios on pvp games so I don't care about the comments telling me to improve.

Now that I have completed it, I am having them get ready for the second coming of the Lord Almighty and Judgment Day with my dark side powers and Force Abilities and perks.

But I am not on GM. I am on Jedi Knight XD

Kestis, who died, now glorified, Boss of all Boss.

I am on GM, with the Purity Perk and the one that allows random enemies to appear.

I dont mind the one-shotting cause I get to one shot too. It makes common fights in to boss fights. But yeah the game changing mechanics mid strike or following through perfect dodges to kill you anyways is BS. I only had that issue with the Oggdo beasts at lower difficulties. Hell even flying on those birds I was up and high looking to ambush, one of the stormtroopers sees me from a couple hundred yards away and insta-shoots me off the bird. I wasnt even able to get close enough to get an attack indicator.

Accurate stormtroopers :P Who would have figured lol. Force powers that will one-shot a bad guy in a fight will at the next turn do nothing at all to them like Force Slamming a group by surprise.

But yeah, done that. Not doing it again.

Wtf man about the stormtrooper.. I think u should just lower the difficulty and go on a revenge run.

I am mostly in the game now exploring but kinda extracting vengeance on the bedlam raiders.

"Didn't you guys like to bully me before when I didn't know how to use the other styles?" *Ignites my Darth Maul blade*

Yah if I reload I will take the perks off. The breaking of game mechanics (seems like that to me at least) is making it damn near impossible lol. Grandmaster on its own compared to that feels like fighting on Knight difficulty lol.

This is what happens after developers get tired of people claiming their games are too easy, they just end up adding in something like this out of spite.

I didn't say that man. It's the sock puppet accounts on the steam and EA forums.

But sometimes I do believe EA and Respawn Devs design the levels to be hard out of spite to their company for underpaying them.

But it backfired and people said "Wow so challenging! Breath of fresh air!"

They actually did listen to some of the comments where they have groups of enemies now like Force Unleashed where those enemies are easy on their own, but clumped together, become real hard.

Unfortunately, still think game is fatally flawed due to the performance and some of the writing and cheap bosses, so it goes from "It's Awesome!" to kinda "I dunno man... It's fun and it's got some good moments but it's mostly mediocre"

Well I for one find the less open world esq dark souls type levels of fallen order less fun.

Both games are the same. Cheap shots from devs to the player. Not a difficult game. Just painfull experiencing all of these cheap shots everywhere while also feeling no immersion at all. Just following the directive and doing as your told will lead you to lose. They wanted to make a souls like success. This wasn't done out of spite for underpayment. This was the idea and purposly design for the game. Except. Souls games you can get good at. This game will force you to lose in certain situations. This is done to make the game seem really hard and to try and "earn" that souls like fame. People who fall for it and start doing the "git gud" are all just showing that they aren't paying attention to the game and don't know how to read games at all in general. At least when i played the first one i cringed everytime there was something obvious. Like the jumps on the slide runs. Designed to throw the player off with unatural movement. Forcing you to fall with a different speed than you slide with. I don't know how to explain it differently. It just dosn't fit together and looks really stupid as well. Weird gravity design specifically for slide and jumps i guess.

But yeah. The games are bad and people should'n be playing them. They aren't good and feels like a waste of time. Unless you feel like cringing over bad game design and poorly executed "difficulty" design. Then i guess this is the perfect game. Get a good laugh at the devs for how they managed to design a game that has no essential enjoyable gameplay to offer.

The game doesn't allow animations to be canceled on a universal level. It was never meant to be taken seriously. Don't force yourself through it on "hard mode" when the game doesn't even know what a good challenge is.

uhhh, I beg to differ. 40 vigor in souls games LITTERALLY makes the games easy, and so can YOU make the game easy if you know how to build, know where to go at what area's you're ment to go for natural progression. Weapon dmg is done through crafting and is incredible easy and 'natural' to do.

This is like complaining about Elden's ring cealid region when its adjacant to Limgrave so naturally people might think its a low level zone when infact its a mid to high level zone.

If you follow natural path more coming into road blocks on this game that you might find by random exploring (Rumors etc), the same result will happen.

The interesting thing is Bode can actually attack cancel and break the rules even on Normal.

I've seen him do it when I dodged before, though not all the time so as to make it non obvious when they are cheatin ;)

I have tested it enough by now with the hardest modes.

The devs must have put a probability of success of dodges and blocks.

They work most of the time, but often in game fail clearly when done within the windows of opportunity. And often even when you do a perfectly timed dodge, the enemy will follow you precisely through it and kill you when done the dodge, or even during the dodge when you are supposed to have a brief window of immunity tracking you clearly through everything to land a killing blow. I have put up blocks to take attacks that just for some reason didnt happen till I died in a one-hit. I have had stims that just didnt take till after I died. Such a great help, those! I have watched them apply on my dead body. Darn thats such good timing :D

Right?

Not only that but the enemies breaking game mechanics to suddenly, insta-chain red attacks or even cancel them as they are doing them in sequence, is still basically cheating to win. This game cheats to win.

I tried to give this game another chance. Its not worth buying and if this is the poop they put out and expect us to pay on again, I am not doing it next time out. You lost a long time customer here due to bad product. I will add this as an updated review. You got us to pay out the nose for this, and delivered bad mechanics.

I hope EA fires you devs the next go and actually hires a competent team. Fallen Order had so much less issues for less time. You have all made this worse as it has gone on. Keep the writers, actors and directors.

Fire the folks making the game mechanics and never hire them again. Even the recent updates made a lot of idiotic bugs come back. EA made many of us Fallen Order fans expect so much. And we paid BIG for big results. And they gave a great story. Great cinematics. Great story. Great acting ALL around from all the cast........

And broken game mechanics and general crashing and major bugs they still refuse to address even now that is so pervasive, it cancels out ALL those benefits plus a bunch.

Normal mode is what games are designed for. Hard mode will sometimes work but after that, yes, it's always just cheating and not worth your time.
