High end PC crashes at every cut scene!
I have a 3080 with i9 processor and all the hardware to support the system. How come at every cut scene, my PC crashes with not hope in sight. I've been researching, trying my best to resolve this issues so that i cant play the darn game but I cant get it to work. The game itself runs flawlessly up until a cut scene is triggered. Then half way through it, BOOM! PC dies :(

Any tips/ advice?

If your WHOLE pc dies, then you need to check your PC out.

It may be an overclock issue. If you're using one.

I've had issues like this with similar specced PC but only with games running the Frost Bite Engine. Long story short, the memory was the issue. I downclocked my memory and everything has been stable in ALL games now. Try downclocking in bios.

Imagine calling a 3080 high end.

Still should not happen though

It's still one of the best cards right now. You're acting like the card came out 6 years ago or something. You must be one of those people that think everything last gen isn't good anymore once something new comes out.

Turn off ray tracing. It has issues that cause crashing in levels like Jedah. I have an i913900k + rtx 4090 founders edition. Thing crashes even with those specs. It's just unstable with some of the high end settings enabled. Game is unstable in general honestly. Cool game though, hope it gets more fixes

Oh and if you're ENTIRE pc is turning off, that's likely a power issue. Highly recommend checking to make sure your PSU is delivering enough clean power to your rig. Had an issue like that when I swapped to the 4090 a little while back. I had more peripherals installed than nvidia/corsair thought when I was in contact with them and they said a 850wt would be fine, but nah... it needed moar poooower!

PC shutting down seems indeed power problem but it's weird that cutscene triggers it. They should really fix this game.

How often is a pc able to die with a BOOOooom ?

I just started playing the game and have had 3-4 game crashes during cutscenes; and zero crashes during gameplay. I have an Asus ROG Strix 4090 and an Intel i9 14900ks. Nothing is overclocked. The case is a Fractal Design Torrent paired with 6 ultra-high airflow fans and a Corsair h150i Elite 360mm liquid CPU cooler so even in the most GPU/CPU intensive games I never exceed temps of 60-65C either. I can play at 4k max settings with a steady 150-200 fps.

So: It's not a performance issue. Not an overclocking issue. Not a temp issue.

I believe the original poster said that their entire PC crashes, so I just want to clarify that my PC does not ever crash, just the game.

Anyone with any suggestions for getting the cutscenes to stop crashing the game? I'd very much appreciate any input! thank you

I disabled raytracing and DLSS. Also quit and restart the game before playing.
Furthermore EA doesn't seem to like Steam. So I shut down this as well beforehand.

my crashing issues went away after i shut off ray tracing
