Purity is ridiculous
First playthrough i used fortitude for as much of the run as I could and I could tank 5 weak hits before dying and I'm on master. Now? I am two shot by everything and wasting two stims to heal any hit. Wtf. This game went from being hard but doable if not pleasant to nigh impossible.

That's literally what the Purity perk does, adds additional challenge. Everything is a glass cannon, including you.

The perk's description is clear about this. I am not sure what else you were expecting.

I was expecting it to be about as weak as fortitude, which is reasonable.

As a NG+ Perk, Purity is literally meant to make the game as hard as possible (or as realistic as possible considering you're using a lightsaber). Most regular enemies will die in one or two attacks, but so will you.

Also, it's entirely optional, so if it's not enjoyable.... Just turn it off.

Granted, you have to be at a meditation point to do so, but yes.

Well, you have to reach a meditation point to turn it on, so that same meditation point shouldn't be too far. I turned it on at the first meditation point in NG+, fought a couple groups and was like "this is too much for me." and turned around to head back and turn it off.

It's easy until regular blasters can two shot you and you have to play meticulously or die.

Honestly the only enemy who gave me real trouble the entire play through was Oggdo and I'm not even ashamed of that.

To be fair, I have beaten every from soft game except bloodborne and that was for lack of system. I am not easily deterred.

My best friend is a massive FromSoft fan, this is the closest I can get. I absolutely hate Dark Souls and it's successors. Namely because I feel that the difficulty is overly punishing to make you frustrated and feel the game is harder than it is. The Jedi games lose you XP to the next skill point when you die, so dying repeatedly isn't as frustrating and the save points feel more frequent. (plus the combat feels faster)

You're missing out. Elden Ring is pretty dang good and very doable with a little determination. I also recommend Sekiro and Dark Souls 3. Dark souls 1 is brutal and 2 is very unforgiving. Not to mention you are trained in the force, it will be easier for you.

WTF? Purity is such a cheat! It makes the game ridiculously easy. Yes there are some moments that are harder than normal, mostly when you meet many enemies at once but bosses are so ridiculously easy. And I love it. This gives the lightsaber way more of a realizm. It is deadly. As is every other weapon.

Haha I just had the first encouter with Dagan Gera with purity and on grand master difficulty. He instantly threw his lightsaber which I blocked twice and the cutscene got triggered. Fight over. I didnt do any damage to him and still beat him xD
Fight lastet about 3 seconds
