EA says i don't have access
Been super excited to play this game since i played the first one on Xbox. Bought it got it downloaded, signed into EA linked to steam just to have a notice pop up on EA saying i do not have access to this title because another user bought the game. which makes absolutely no sense because i bought it on my steam account then linked said steam to my EA. anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it, because i'm extremely annoyed and disappointed. been waiting for it to go on sale to buy it and now i cant even play it,

You might want to write a ticket to EA or steam for this issue. It is an acount issue I asume.

I am in the same situation (and I'm also "not really pleased").
I opened a ticket with EA and I'll wait their answer before I ask for a refound.
I will post results here in any event.

I contacted EA, but I was not able to find how to raise issue with Steam; hints welcome.

Game isn't in the EA library, right? Do this: Download a game that you have in your EA Library that you know that you purchased through Steam, then start up that game to main menu, then quit and then take a look if Jedi Survivor is there.

I did this with Jedi Fallen Order, quit the game and then started Survivor without any issues anymore!

I got this same error. This is what fixed it for me:

Uninstall Jedi: Survivor
Uninstall EA Origin (or whatever it's called now).
Go to EA's website and reinstall the EA app from there. Sign into it using your Steam account. It'll ask for your Steam ID and password, and make you jump through some more hoops. Just do it.
Reinstall Jedi: Survivor from Steam

After doing all this, the game started from Steam like it's supposed to. Hope it works for you :)

This solution works.

Guys, I've contacted EA support live chat, and here is what they said:

"As I have checked the updates there are some emerging issues going on with the game access through Steam and our team is hardly working to fix all the issues with this because our valuable players are facing the same issue right now. At this point, we appreciate your patience while we investigate what's going on. Our team is dedicated to this issue and they are working to fix it as early as possible for our gamers. We have shared your details further and the issue will be fixed for you ASAP!"

So I assume that we should just keep waiting for a solution because it's a global problem.
