Yes and no. Cal does embrace the Dark Side around 80% of the way through the game and it replaces the Force Slow mechanic for the rest of the game. You don't get any new force powers but your Force Meter becomes unlimited and your damage spikes through the roof. For example, a Force Slam usually only does a tickle of damage to a Stormtrooper on Jedi Master, but with the Dark Side active, it flat out kills anything that's not a Purge Trooper or higher.
