performance issues but they've been mostly resolved since then but ymmv

still it needs a rather beefy pc to run well, game's really good though

Not very well optimized, more platforming oriented than the first one, worse story. Still great though.

i enjoy the gameplay, but I only get like 60fps on low settings with it randomly dropping to 20 or lower. intel i5 12600K, 48gb RAM, and rtx3060. It's honestly still kinda worth it though if you liked the first one.

It's on sale every now and then. Game is awesome, just folks with nuclear reactors ain't getting 300 fps at @4k RT hence crying.

I gotta say, though, the bosses in the first game were better, at least from my perspective. I am now close to the end ( I think) and the bosses up until now were more or less medium

From a gameplay loop and story perspective if you liked the first game you will like this one as well. It builds up on the mechanics introduced in the first game, and adds more in every department. more exporation, more platfomring, more combat options...and even more cosmetics to the point where i find it satsifying to do fashion souls with Cal.

It got panned for performance issues. The framerate has improved a lot since launch, the stuttering..........not so much. Just be aware of that. It rarely happened to me during a fight. more along the lines of moving from place to place, but its still annoying.

it crashes frequently for me, other than that when it works, it works well FPS wise and game play wise

It runs like garbage?

Seriously this is the worst performing game I've ever seen in my life, and I'm including Batman: Arkham Knight and Cyberpunk 2077 at launch.

On Koboh I get stutters and hitching even with an experimental fix that can be found on NexusMods and with RT disabled. This is with a G-Sync panel at 80-90 FPS. VRAM usage quickly climbs from 60% to 90% within 10 minutes of gametime (RTX 4090!). The game runs unacceptably bad and the devs are silent on fixing the problems.

Also, shader precompilation runs every time the game starts, I've never seen a game do this, and it runs for like 90-120 seconds, every time. Also, the game is incredibly crash prone, I've had to dial back my clocks ONLY for this game, get a crash and you're right back at "optimizing the game for your PC" for two minutes. Another problem as pointed out by DF's update is the atrocious UI problems like if / when you need to change your display resolution. After changing it you cannot activate the "confirm new resolution" prompt within the 10 second window.

Due to terrible optimisation. Some patches helped a bit, but still its not how it should be. This game needs brute force and it still will drop frames crazy.

Im on the same boat, loved both Fallen Order, which was perfect, this not so much.

THIS, that's the only post you need to read my friend. It is NOT running good.
Scipo0419 Nov 24, 2023 @ 6:29am
I'm running the game on a 1080, with 32GB of RAM on an i9-9900k. I have most settings at "Low" except a few tweaks, I don't use any Mods, performance or otherwise, and the only 3rd party application that could be helping is "Reduce Memory" optimizing my memory usage if I break 75% usage.

I consistently get 40-50 fps depending on location, have experienced 0 crashes, 0 stutter, and have played for 4-5 hours at a time pretty consistently.

Basically what I'm getting at is, some people are experiencing the worst optimized game ever released, and some people (like me) are experiencing a game that's a bit too nice for their rig to run at max settings, but isn't giving them any problems otherwise.

I played the first opus with a 1080 ti without any issues and this one even with a 4070 RTX it is a nightmare. The performances are so horrible.

Game is great. Performance was bad until recent 2 patches. Now it's fine. Just turn off the raytracing. It gives very little benefits in this game in comparison to the performance hit.

It is very sad what is happening with games this year. So many games reelased with technical problmes and that resulted in low sales and took months to fix them withpatches. WHAT IS GOING ON THIS YEAR?! We never had this problem before.

Fortunately for me the only game that ihad problem at release date was Last of us. It had loading each few minutes but it got fixed after months.

Star wars is one of the most popular action series and with millions of fans in evry country of the world. It is a SHAME for EA AND DISNEY that they allowed it to be released at with so many problem. It seems that they didnt test it at all. Which is why i will get it only at 50% or higher discount like i did with Forspoken that i got it 2 days ago that is now at 50%+ discount.
I played fallen order at release date and didnt have the problems i read that suvivor has and i (and many others) have upgraded our pcs since then) which mean that it is not justified that survivor will have more problems on the alot more powerfulpcs we have now than fallen order did on the much weaker pcs we had in 2019.

It's much better than the first game but they were too lazy to optimised open areas. Still worth playing though, just get EA Play Pro for a month.
