How do I open the Forest Gate?

Main desert planet.. My main objective is up on a ridge that I cant get to.. It's way up high with no way to get to it I know

You talking about the entrance that you can see from Pyloon's?

There isn't a direct route up at first. Try following the stream that divides the two ridges and you'll eventually see a way to get across and work your way back to the entrance.

Hard to tell from the description. Are you near a cliff face, with running water preventing you from running the other way? If so, you can jump/run/parkour your way upstream along the walls.
