So... use and abuse it at will. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not complaining, just letting people that may not be aware know about it.
Ah my bad, i tought you were complaining about it, sorry. The fun police is rather common in singleplayer games too.
Then it came out wrong. I used the Blaster stance all the way up until the end of the game, even before I got the 'Quick Draw' skill.
Along with the Crossguard, which is devastating on close combat. I went back to use Dual and Twin just for fun and to compare, and realized how underpowered they were compared to Crossguard.
I liked the 'Quick Draw' skill for what it allows: to skip the bullsh|t and go to the fun parts. But the fact that it gives you infinite ammo is clearly a bug that they are gonna patch out once they find it.
Why did you have to say it out loud...we've not gotten a patch in nearly a month, the last patch bugged out actual game content...when we finally do get a patch, Cal's hair will look amazing in the ray-traced wind that crashes you to desktop, quick draw will be nerfed, and not only will bounties still not work they'll bug out holotactics just to give us one more good poke in the eye.
I'm kidding, but yeah, if they bother patching something as minor as ammo consumption from quick draw without un-bugging bounties there's going to be a riot in the EA forums. XD
Mmmmm... what? you just hold LB+Y/Triangle and drop it at any time... it works with single enemies and you can use it constantly without any ammo consumption or cooloff period... what timing are you talking about?
As for the *skill* itself, lazy game design. Once you get quick draw, you just spend the rest of the game in eternal slo-mo shooting everything that gets close to you one at a time. Who needs to target 4 mobs simultaneously, if you can just one-shot everything that gets near you?
Fing Hell, man-it's the closest thing to being one of the bosses in the game that you can get as a player! You never run out of ammo, time slows down so that you have plenty of time to react...pshh.
If they had just made it so that the same limitations on lightsaber-tossing applied to the blaster, that would've been a good compromise. Maybe. I think the stupid skill should STILL use Fing ammo, not Force. What? "This is my mighty Force Gun, replacement for old-fashioned laser swords!"
It's not even Star Wars anymore, yo. Between the complete lack of tactics/strats for beating the bosses (e.g.: *dodge*dodge*hit*RUN!*dodge*dodge*dodge*) to scaling difficulty by just requiring faster reflexes (a big "F**K YOU!" to us people with neurological damage that like to think we're not Fing p*ssies who have to "Just stay on Padawan, bro lolz."
I just hope that if EA ever decides to make another Jedi/Force game, that they don't go with the Gods of War boys and find someone who can half-assed keep it on the rails of the Star Wars genre.
/unapologetic rant off
Equip the blaster perks, lift up purge troopers, high noon them, profit
Fair enough. Still uses force which isn't unlimited and I would still consider most purge troopers fodder. So they are taken care of easily anyway. So is this skill really that good?
