Download problem
Since the game is out. Every single download/update that we have i'm having major problem with my download. im stuck at 4 MB/s on my Disk usage. I cleaned my download cache about 10 times, i optimised my driver, restart my pc. I tried every tips on the internet that i saw and nothing works. Normaly i download around 150 MB/s on both. Does someone have something else or im stuck with a 14 hours download?

if there wasnt enough space it would just tell us that there isnt enough room. its like the update goes in limbo when installing it, literally 0 disk usage during that time when it hangs up.
You need 2x the install size to update, so about 270gb.

Probably not enough free space on the drive. Try cleaning steam download cache in steam options (will have to log in again). Cleaning up the Steam temp and depotcache from the steamapps folder. Restart the computer and patch again.

steam does this with certain games i think it has to do with the encryption of the game files but im not 100% sure

This is the problem, I had to delete files I did not want to get rid of in order to get the space to download the patch (on EA). After all the issues just to install the patch, I honestly can't see that it has improved anything with the game. It still runs poorly and they still haven't fixed the keybinding and blaster issues. :steamfacepalm:

In some cases it is better to redownload the game.

Annoyingly I seem to be in one of the only areas in the country that still has poor internet speeds, it takes hours to download the game. To be honest though, after the poor performance of the patch for me, I should have as it wasn't worth loosing the files over it.

That's just how some games deal with valves decompressing method. Its something that is SSD and CPU related, combined with how the developer creates a build.

AS bad as it is, it's not a problem, it's just how this game handles it. There's nothing you can do about it,

If you have an external drive or something you can always just move the folders elsewhere then put them back later.

My updates have been so dreadful, it'll go through three different steps of the download and takes me multiple hours to download them (It's like I'm downloading a whole another game download time) and then it'll do the verifying step which takes 30 min usually and then at the of the download it'll say "corrupted game files" then when I do it again it downloads perfectly fine, keep in mind I've never experienced this with any other games I've download and I have an Ethernet cable plugged in my PC, so I don't understand the extremely long ass download time just for these updates to make my every 4 min crashes worse.

So I heard there is supposedly some sort of government agency that deals with situations where consumers get poor quality of products. Does anybody know them and how do we get them to investigate EA and the EA app

I'm having this exact same problem, I put the game down because of the ridiculously poor performance (RTX 4090 + 12900K @ 5.1 GHz), I recently re-enabled the E-Cores as that has helped with performance in Cyberpunk 2077 and I wanted to see if it made any difference to the atrocious hitching in this game with RT enabled and it said there was an update and now it's downloading the update at 300 kbps, then hanging, then downloading, it's been an hour and the update bar has moved 25%. I have Xfinity Gigabit internet (750 mbps in Speed Test) so this issue solely rests with EA's server. I will never buy another EA title again for the way that they've mishandled the PC port of this game, and stone-walled any inquiries into repairing the broken state of this title. I'm nearly ready to just uninstall the game completely.

How much free space is on your SSD?
