Freezing while on Koboh researching Tanalorr

When using the coupler to uncover the updraft to proceed further into the game, I am unable to disengage from the coupler and have to quit the game repeatedly. I use a keyboard and mouse to play through the game on my pc. I do not have a controller to play the game. Any suggestions would be nice as long as I am not required to use a controller. I will not purchase a controller just for 1 quest in the game.

There are some hold X key that can be buggy, but you can remap everything. Just go under the controller settings, and from there you can remap they keyboard.

This happened to me too with KB&M. Solution is to tap TAB.
