Has anyone else beaten double rancor tear on GM difficulty?
Jesus christ that was about the most bs thing I've ever done in gaming. Double Oggdo was cake compared to that trash.

Not worth the hassle. Switch to Story Mode for these crap minigames.

yea i agree swapping dif, itd be one thing if there was an achievement on that specific dif and challenge but theres not so theres no real point to try against them unless to test yourself.

I did the Triple Legendary Beast Tear on GM but these arenas are super buggy. There's some issue with collision causing one-shots, both for the player and the beasts. I just have the Rancor and the Oggdo fights left and plan to keep abusing the blaster.

Yea double rancor was the last tear I needed to beat. I like to challenge myself but good god GM is mostly artificial on this game. And yea you are absolutely right about the blaster stance. I doubt I could have done it otherwise. Some good news about the oggdos is a charged shot will actually stagger them out of their unblockables so it is much more doable than the rancors.

I did it, but it was pretty rough, I didn't get to double frogs yet though since my game is stuck freezing at the landingpad and I'm waiting for the patch.

I found the worst part was the instant death grab coming out of nowhere when you are dealing with the other Rancor. I died a ton of times to the grab while hitting/parrying the other rancor and not being able to react to the grab, either due to being stuck in an animation or because I didn't see the start since the first rancor was blocking the entire screen and the 2nd rancor just clips right through him.

So my main advice is to be very careful what you do if you can't see the 2nd rancor because the first is blocking him from view, especially if they are close to one another. Even though you can easily get in 3 or 4 hits after many of their attacks, don't do it if you can't clearly see both of them.

Yea that's solid advice for sure. I thought outside of the box. I used the perk that gives you super when you heal, and I tested which attacks wouldn't one shot me, and if I had the time I would intentionally get hit by that attack and quickly pop a double heal. I got my super right as I executed the first one then was able to burst down the other one with super.

Yes, was not that difficult, I did it without getting hit, was easier than double Oggdo

Double Rancor No Hit
Double Oggdo No Hit

Here's a tip,

Step 1:
Bait first Rancor and wait for 2nd Rancor's attack.

Step 2:
Punish 2nd Rancor

Step 3:
Repeat Step 1

Step 4:
Die anyways lol

(Also you only want to jump if they're doing the ground aoe, it's easier to dodge their grabs)

To fix the freezing in control panel under details, set the priority of Jedi survivor exe to realt time, fixes every issue I had with the game and I not only pirated it, but I only got v1.0

Nope, it's one of only three encounters in the game I consider to be badly designed. The others are the Oggdo duo tear and the legendary beast trio tear. They're the only things I haven't (and will probably never) beat on GM. I've played through the game on GM three times so far and I've either turned down the difficulty or cheesed them with the purity and fortification perks.

I haven't, but with Blaster stance it was a lot easier on Jedi Knight than I thought it would be. I've also seen people beat it on GM with that stance, and it was done in a pretty manageable manner.

Blaster was the best stance for me to use, I don't think I could have done it without. I've seen people use dual wield and glitch it to do more damage, whether that counts as legit or not, idk. I used the perk where when I healed I gained super, and then I would avoid every 1 shot attack and purposely get hit by the one or two attacks that don't kill you, then heal and gain super off of it, and by the time I had one down, I was able to use my super on the other and take it out. I still stand by it being one of the most bs things I've ever done in gaming. There are just too many one shot kill moves, and this game doesn't take multiple enemies aggression into account like it should, so they are both just swinging full balls, regardless of move type and if the timing even provides a way out. Several times I had no choice but to jump to dodge an attack, only to die because the other one did an attack you can't jump away from at the same time lol.
