Hunter's Quarry map glitch

Did anyone else experience this map glitch, where the rear surface level area of Hunter's Quarry just wouldn't load in correctly?
Everytime I try to enter this area, Cal just freezes in position and wont move anymore.
Hunter's Quarry is the area right next to the outpost on Koboh.

I have been able to enter Hunter's Quarry and move around; however each time I enter the cave and complete the steps to get the beam to blast out the vines covering the second entrance to the cave; I leave the cave and the game crashes. This either occurs immediately after I leave the cave through the new entrance/exit; or very soon after. The first time I did this "puzzle", I was able to "lead" the beam to the nearby hut, which it blew to smithereens - I grabbed the treasure, *then* the game crashed! *So* frustrating!
