Crossguard is my favorite stance so far and then the dual blade followed by the double blade for larger crowds is nice as well. I tried the blaster stance for a bit, but it wasn't doing it for me.
Edit: It should be noted that I play on the default normal jedi knight difficulty and have no idea how good my build would fare on the harder settings.
Crossguard hits hard, but is so slow that it easily gets overwhelmed by multiple enemies.
Double-bladed and Dual Wield are both great and felt good to play.
Single blade seems generic (and it is) but it works as advertised, a well rounded weapon that is good in any situation.
Overall, if you only had one stance, Blaster is probably the strongest. You could beat the game with any stance, but Crossguard would be the most challenging without having a backup weapon to fall back on when you're heavily outnumbered.
I like it when my Jedi uses Gun to defeat Stormtroopers; I like to think some of them are going "wait that's cheating" when I blast them from a cliff top. Some of the beast enemies are also way easier to deal with the liberal application of Gun. And I used dual blades as my second stance because of the raw speed you get.
I tried the other stances, but I've always been a Speed > Power person, so Crossguard didn't gel with me. I also like the single blade stance a lot, but Gun was still more fun - and different. And although Double-bladed was supposed to be good for hordes, with a few upgrades, dual blades was just as good - ricocheting sabers are amazing at mowing down hordes. About the only thing the saberstaff stance had going for it was the ability to return volleys of gun fire rather than single bolts.
When exploring wide open areas, I prefer to use a blaster, attacking enemies with it at distance before using my lightsaber when they close in to melee range.
My second saber was cross guard, with the charged reflection perk this was tons better than the saber staff. In combat it did require using vulnerability windows as its so slow but the combination of these two got me through the whole game on master.
Just starting my NG+ now and have switched to blaster and the staff, going to play on Grand Master from this point on and will master them or die ( a lot ) trying :)
I usually played with Dual Wield and Blaster though. It's satisfying shooting people who are near dead, but still ready to go a few more exchanges with your saber.
Blaster saber feels kinda op at times when fighting tougher enemies especially the frog boss since the charged shot can stun the frog boss or just interrupted other enemies red attacks
Crossguard blaster skill deflect is so good especially cause the saber already does alot of damage
Single saber i find the skills easier to pull off and not get interrupted in combat overall really balanced
DW parry king + speed ftw don't like the skills other than the deflect and i guess throw
staff moves are flashy but tough to pull off without getting interrupted however it is still really good tho i personally think it's the worst one unless you are fighting alot of easy to kill enemies. However i found VS alot of enemies DW worked just as well or better at times especially with the upgraded deflect. To me this one just doesnt feel as good as the rest when it's just a few enemies. Tho id still use for it's cool factor.
