Is there a way to bypass the EA launcher?
Yesterday shown us, why having it as an awful idea with it's always online BS.
If anyone figures out a solution please share with your fellow gamers.
There was a comment somewhere about an "ea bypass" but i believe it was a lie.

I hope EA comes to their senses and doesn't keep this online only.

No but you can bypass the Steam launcher by not buying the game 3rd party

Yeah how about no? I lose nothing by owning this on steam instead of that god forsaken crappy app.

Is the game on GoG? No? Well in that case, EA can shove their "EA app" where it doesn't shine mate.

It's also that dumb app that forces the online only feature on us, not Steam.

Would make no difference at all, if the THIRD PARTY ONE wasn't the better.
You do realize that the one causing the problems is the original EA one right?
Using one or two clients makes no difference in this case at all.

thing is buggy as hell. it wont let you start the game because its offline but you are clearly online. your bought content is then not available. There Servers need to be better.

I have it directly though the EA app because I got it for 20 bucks at the EA store from their building in Burnaby. I haven't had any issues with the client

For a starters agree, but we shouldn't have to rely on servers at all for a singleplayer game unless its for downloading it.

That's because you haven't played yesterday when it was down.
And the client is the issue itself, or rather EA. You should understand that having an online only feature on a 100% singleplayer game is just bad.

Like JFO we just have to wait for the inevitable removal of Denuvo malware then within minutes someone will crack out that EA crApp garbage.

Denuvo isn't likely getting removed anytime soon, it wouldn't be an issue if ea took some minimal effort and added offline compability with a patch.

They won't :/

It's worth noting that the EA app itself has an offline mode that does let you boot the game. Maybe if you run it beforehand you'll have better luck?
