That Rancor on Koboh was difficult enough that I gave up and moved on. I kept getting one-shotted. When I got to Zeik on Koboh, my patience was worn out and I just put it on Story Mode difficulty.
The Ninth Sister fight was an enjoyable, mostly because she used what seems to be an unlockable force ability. The fight had a pleasant rhythm for parrying and dodging, and I consider it to have been a traditional style of boss fight.
I just played through Kashyyyk for the first time in Fallen Order, so the Coruscant Ninth Sister fight also served as a kind of boss battle for Kashyyyk. More so than the AT-AT.
The AT-AT boss on Kashyyyk was horrible, I had so much trouble with those missiles I though I would lose the fight. I ended up just dodging the missiles instead of pushing them back at the AT-AT and taking my time with the boss fight. The Battle Droids on Koboh are a breeze by comparison, but they are Battle Droids...
I know the first game didn't, and if this one doesn't you could just turn it down for those segments and turn it back up again? Just a thought.
Yes, i did just that. ♥♥♥♥ that bounty quest in Jedah, dude.
The Rancor isn't "hard" it just punishes constantly if you are greedy. Throwing the bones at his mouth buys a few seconds of free hits, you can block his normal hits, his charge grab requires you to wait before dodging, since doing it as he charges will increase the odds he grabs you. Dual Wield is the best stance for the fight, focusing your counter ability will stagger him and give you a few hits. Slow also helps when properly timed. It isn't "Hard" its just very punishing if you are impatient. Took me three tries to figure how to handle him, he's patience, observation and a reaction check.
I guess I am a little impatient. I'm used to games testing my reflexes more than my patience. I had trouble with "Remember Me", and Hi-Fi RUSH title didn't appeal to me.
I'd probably be a speed runner if I spent more time with the games I played.
The Pull and Throw mechanic is one I've been struggling with. It has required far too many tries for me to get explosives to land on a target when using a controller. I didn't see it as a useful tactic against a rancor, so I never looked for things to throw.
I wondered if the highlighting of the bone was a graphical glitch, or an indicator of something else. I dismissed it was a Prospector memory, which would need to wait until after the Rancor was defeated.
