Does crossguard ever get better?
It feels bad to play. Does it ever not feel bad?

Nope, got the tree maxed. It's always slow and garbage. I mainly use the default one bladed stance and the dual wield ones myself.

Same.

You're still swinging an energy sword, which is presumably light.
I mean, idk, like Kylo Ren's saber in the movie? It's just so slow.

All stances are subjective to player preferences tbh. I like the cross-guard style can tank pretty well and taking down beefier foes is easier as you cause more damage to health and their block bar. That and the double blade for me is a good mix and has worked well so far.

It not that bad, I have almost completed the game with it, because I think it looks cool.
(on hardest).
the one thing it is good at is the "power deflect",

also with a few perks it breaks most guardmeters in 2 hits.

Dont forget your playing a game things need to be balanced or a tool for a situation there is nothing wrong with the X guard at all.

The cross guard requires forethought and for you to think ahead. It isn't a weapon for button mashers. You can utterly curbstomp bosses and elite enemies with hold x and hold y attacks. To the point of stagger locking them.

The slow attack speed is a easy trade off for that capability. Also yes there is a perk that gives you stagger resistance so that you don't get interrupted mid attack.

Just remember you're playing a game so they have to make a blade made of light feel heavy.

Love using the cross guard stance for tackling boss fights and stronger enemies. My other stance is the regular single-blade stance for handling everything else.

If there are groups, use the regular stance to dispatch the weaker enemies of the group, then switch stance to cross guard to tackle the stronger enemy in the group. Use it as a defensive stance - parry/dodge enemies until an opening appears and then strike.

it's pretty good if you play to its strengths. every stance has its uses you just gotta adapt to it

I should start by saying I am playing on grandmaster...

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love crossguard...
It feels amazing and is incredibly powerful.

The most optimal lightsaber stance at the highest level of play is likely dual-wield because of the ability to cancel into dodge or block.

That said crossguard is great! As someone who really enjoys strength based weapons from souls like games, this stance feels amazing.

As long as you are deliberate in your attacks, crossguard wipes the floor with all sorts of enemies. The only enemy I am still trying to figure out how to beat effectively with crossguard is the hammer guys (admittedly I haven't fought them enough with crossguard to get a good feel). Other than that crossguard is super strong and blows through just about any enemy type I have ran into.

Would you please tell me what that perk is called? I have looked at every list of perks I can find and none of them give any kind of stagger resistance beyond the one that gives you stagger resistance when you heal and one that gives you stagger resistance while sprinting and one while charging a blaster shot and that's all I can find
