Cutscenes freezing game

So for the most part my games been really good up till the first openworld planet however the cutscenes have started to freeze and crash the game any ideas on solutions? I'm running a GTX 3080, I7-8700K, 48gb ram and a 1tb ssd. i havent ran into any screen tearing or issues like that just the odd stutter and fps drop. Really enjoying the game and story when it doesnt crash.

Same here since the patch. In both tries on the bar in Koboh cutscenes it freezes ( sounds continues to play ), same as the with the troopers in the nearby valley behind the laser gate.

Not sure what the issue here is specifically. Raytracing is off, FSR off too. Have not found a solution yet.

same here... cant continue cause of the freeze in the damn same cutscene... i dont know what to do

It was the patch IMO. First planet was ok for me. After the patch in the second planet it crashes a lot especially during cutscenes. Better performance they said...

I had the same issue pre-patch aswell, stuck in the same cutscene over and over again. No improvement after patch.

Yep, same here. Pops to a cutscene and freezes with audio still playing. Even if I try and skip the scene it still locks up.

I'm freezing at the cutscene that plays after the Koboh Jedi Temple, when you take the lift and exit.

I've now turned off VSNYC and switched from "Borderless Fullscreen" to "Fullscreen" and did not have a crash since. Not sure if this is global fix for everyone but seems to have mitigated the issue for myself so it doesn't happen anymore. If you're suffering from this, perhaps give this a shot.

I've been running fullscreen since the beginning, tried turning off vsync but it does nothing. Also I should mention that these freezes happen regardless of quality, they happen at LOW and at EPIC.

it started as freezing during cut scenes now it freeze at the meditation spot i start at im very frustrated

It randomly freezes in cutscenes for me, and one cutscene took a couple tries to get through, skip helped before the lockup. But yeah there's some kinda infinite loop there I suspect

no improvement after the patch because the only thing they decided to fix on PC was Performance issues with ray-tracing like a lot of us didnt have that disabled already
