Jump Dash Glitch! Unable to get ability!

Hi Everyone,

So I'm at the Sanctuary part of the game. You drop down on the platform from above and a message comes up saying you now have Jump Dash (and how to use it). There's a doorway open in front of you where you're suppose to use it.

Jump and hit B. Well it doesn't work at all. Using keyboard option doesn't work either.

And from the YouTube video's I have watched, I'm supposedly suppose to jump and a whole cinematic sequence plays out.

THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN.

So one of the most important abilities that is needed to pass some parts of the game, I an unable to get, which means I am unable to proceed pass this point.

Please help!

im having this same issue but at a later part of the game... you get a 'force pull' ability. i get the prompt but it doesnt let me 'focus' and use the ability. i am soft locked i cannot progress or go backwards in the game

No, I didn't get the cut scene.

After dropping onto platform it immediately states that I now have the Jump Dash ability.

Never does cut scene NOR actually gives ability.

That's after the ... tornado room? I believe he has a memory cut scene in there.

If I remember right you use it next to jump through the wind. I'm unsure when it says you can jump through the green shields. It's around that time though. Maybe someone else remembers this sequence better?

It's quite clear. When you land on platform you're supposed to try to jump across the wind to the open door. When you try this a cinematic scene is suppose to play out, THEN you get the ability.

But instead, the moment I drop on platform the ability is automatically given. But really isn't and never is. But in pause menu, it does say I have the ability.

Sounds like a clear bug then. Unless they have some hidden autosave before that moment I don't know how you would resolve trying to get it to trigger properly.

When you get caught by the wind in the cylindric room with the lightining strikes, you should get a cutscene of a memory with Cere onboard the Mantis.
After that, you wake up in a little cave, where you are supposed to do the jump dash.
If the scene not triggered, something must have glitched out.

You probably have to rollback to the last meditation point save.

You can't bypass the green shields at this point yet.

You can't bypass the green shields at this point yet.

Unfortunately it's not like you can go back as far as you want, as you can only reload last save point.

Which doesn't work.

There seems to be no way to fix this. Only fix seems to be someone sending over their save file after they got this ability.

But as of now, no one has volunteered to do this after I asked for it on the forums.

I am currently at a meditation point across the big bridge after aquiring the Dash Jump. You would miss about a couple of minutes of gameplay and a small scripted in game cut scene.
Also I am a bit of a completionist and did most of the optional stuff to this point.
