patch increased my performance greatly
system:
windows 11
RTX 3070
i7 10700k
32 gigs ram, 3200 mhz

idunno about you guys but i get about 20-30 fps more with same settings and even raytracing now seems almost playable most of the time (even though i still dont think its worth the fps hit).

so for a first patch this update is a major win in my book. the only thing i find suspicious is how fast it was ready.

How? They just needed to fix three bugs for a massive performance boost...

what bugs do you mean? that the game didnt use the gpu properly and used too much vram anyways? or that the cpu bottlenecked performance? look im not a dev, but i find it suspicious that they have a patch ready monday after release. especially since i saw somebody claim that the patch was listed on steamDB way before.

Same here 10700k 3080 10gb.

Bumped settings to Epic and it rarely drops below 60 now. Prior to patch it would drop to low forties with High settings. Graphic card useage has greatly increased as well.

Fixed mine. I tested just before the patch and was getting approx 50fps in a simple boxed room just running in circles, logged in after and was getting 60fps. That was on a RTX 3080 10GB with a Ryzen 5600X

I am getting 110-130 FPS at 3440x1440 RT on, all Epic, FSR Quality. Bumps another 20-30 FPS with RT off. Game feels pretty good to play now.

i got around 10-12 extra in fps, a step forward :104:

better fps but traversal stutter is still there

Yeah patch was good for about an hour, before crashing during a cutscene on Koboh. But before the patch I could only play about 5 minutes on Koboh before crashing so I guess it's a win.

I'm finally getting the kind of performance I deserve.

I've basically your same configuration and the patch also fixed it for me! All Epic and steady 60 fps (had a tip to 55/58 while riding a zipline and that's it)

The good:

Better performance
Better stability
Better frame times
Better texture handling

---

The Bad:

New bugs
More people can't run the game
More unknown bugs to appear

---

The ugly

If you get texture corruption that wasn't there before. Nooo not my 6650XT! My baby...! Why? The textures hurt my eyes!

EDIT:

one more ugly thing :: fullscreen may give less frames than fullscreen windowed.
