In the past I've had a similar issue with Black Ops 3 where the game just won't launch. Both times this happened I uninstalled and reinstalled steam, making sure I backed up my games folder, which resolved that issue. So could be a similar issue, only had that occur with Black Ops 3 though. Sounds like your issue is more related to EA Desktop's side of things so probably won't help in this case.
You could think that an issue that people are not able to launch the game at all are high prio but nope. Rather release patches fixing other stuff..who cares about people not even being able to start a game..
Just as a side note..I contacted support after release of patch 4 and they told me they know about it and work on it. So they did know about this issue (or the support lied) yet still didn't found it important enough to fix in the last patch.
I managed to fix the issue by going into Desktop Mode (Steam Deck). I then right clicked the Jedi Survivor game -> Manage -> Browse local files.
Key is to then browse to the JediSurvivor.exe under this location
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Jedi Survivor/SwGame/Binaries/Win64
Now delete this file.
Go to this location...
/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Jedi Survivor/Origin/redist/internal
Delete the EA App launcher exe.
Now return to the Library in Steam -> Right Click the game and choose Properties.
You then want to verify the game files. After 100% it will realise that two of the files are not present and will re-download and install the exe's.
Now click Play within the Desktop mode and it should launch the game and update the EA App. If Prompted enter your EA Account details. Once you get to the main menu of the game close it down. Go back to the Game Mode (Steam Deck) and launch the game. This now works for me.
