WTF IS THIS?

i crash every 15 minutes in the game everytime and get this
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] hr failed at D:/depot/r8branches/r8release/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Resources.cpp:507 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

and its not this has been happeningfor a year with unreal.
i've done evrything everyone says on youtube, reddit or on here and nothing works. unreal just keeps crashing and never has it been worse then this game. does anyone have answers?

I'm getting the same crash every 15 mins, it seems a lot of us are. Only 0.2% have made it to the first achievement on steam, they really need to fix this.

Do you have GPU overclocked with MSI afterburner? If so try lowering it. I was messing with it to get some more performance out of my GPU and it seems to crash with a similar error message. If this does not help or wouldn't help, no need to roast me for I am simply trying to help.

I would never play a game in its buggy state...

Well though that has happened recently...

The device is hung . So hang up and redial . Simple init

Turn off Ray Tracing for the time being. I had the exact same crashes and that resolved it. Not ideal but it worked.

Every time I try to save I get crash with this error.. How are you supposed to play the game when you can't even save.. I've just replayed the same like 15/20 minutes about 6 times over... Such a good story ruined by incompetence and lack of care from developers..

The following completely fixed this error for me:

If you go into Windows Security > App & Browser Control > Exploit Protection > Program Settings, and add the game as an entry in that list (Steam / steamapps / common / Jedi Survivor / SwGame / Binaries / Win64 / JediSurvivor.exe), then hit Edit and scroll down until you see Control Flow Guard, setting it to override the setting to Off.

Great it worked for you.

People really don't believe it's their security settings doing it...well maybe they aren't aware of how their PCs are configured. It's not like anyone ever mentions that stuff when they boot PC up...
