Game crash on Jedah repeatitively
At the start there is this monster in the sand, I went left toward the trial...
Every time you go back to the sand valley, out of the room, game seems to crash.. can't leave :(

Jedah is the worst area for crashes i found. Doesn't happen really at all when playing the game but ive had it crash on 2 or 3 cutscenes there and in the main base for that planet. I found setting the .exe for the game to high priority on task manager helped alot for Jedah for me. still not a 100% fix and when it crashes just got to reset it back to high and try again.

I am on EA Play Pro to clarify. I had some crashes at the beginning where it just shut my whole pc off. What i found was the issue was the FSR. Performance out of all things was crashing the game. If you are on Performance try switching to quality and see if it works, Since I switched I havent crashed yet. Maybe even disabling it could work but I haven tested this yet. I do know the FSR is completely bugged like a mofo.

Thanks guys! Gotta try both!...

Question, how do you set game priority? To be clear I am on Windows 11 (I kind of vaguely remember seeing it in Windows 10) but right click in Task Manager doesn't bring priority settings..

And.. what is FSR?
Anyway I am already on epic quality everything.. perhaps I should turn ray tracing?!

Check your thermals too! Most of the time when my video driver crashes my card has overheated. The one time this game crashed for me, for some reason fan control software had not kicked them to speed properly.

go to Options, then to Visuals

In Visuals, scroll down until you see AMD FX Fidelity Super Resolution 2

See what its set at. if Performance set it to quality. See if it works. If its disabled maybe try Quality and see if it stops crashing. I know it kind of sounds dumb but this has worked for me.

This is a really good game just needs some TLC this week from EA to get this optimized better.

Game played weird while I was in 4k, enemies slow or t posed, and collectables crashed my game alot, switching to small resolution fixed those issues.

Turn RT off on Jedah, this solved my crashes during cutscenes.

RTX off? I thought about that! benefit not quite obvcious..

Disabling RayTracing fixed all the crashes for me. Restart the game to be sure RT is off

Same, no crashes afer turning rt off

I confirm with regards Ray Tracing. Run the game and switch off RTX while in main menu. Load your last save and continue. Managed to play now without crashes. All other setting on "epic" + FSR on quality @ 4k.
Running on RTX 4080 & Ryzen 7 5900x; 32GB ram. I get average 50-70fps with occasional drops to 35fps. Which is in my opinion absolutely smooth and playable. Everything above 35fps is really good. However it must be stable without any crashes though.
Obviously when I leave Jedha i turn RTX back ON. So for now no ray tracing on Jedha.
