Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 + Admin mode for Unreal's CrashReportClient.exe allowed me able to finish Koboh
TL;DR: For me, it's the actual Unreal Engine Crash Reporter tool causing some of my freezes on Koboh since it can't load the Windows dialog and hangs

- Go to where your Survivor copy is installed and look for the respective folder below:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\Engine\Binaries\Win64
(you can locate the game file location with Steam. I have this located on my D:, which is a 1TB SSD gaming drive separate to my boot drive)
- Look for CrashReportClient.exe
- Right click > Properties
- Select the Compatibility tab
- Check Windows 8 for Compatibility Mode, and check Run this program as an administrator
- Click on Ok

Now you will need to locate the actual game .exe itself. Mine is at:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Binaries\Win64

- Right click on JediSurvivor.exe and select Properties
- Select the Compatibility tab
- Check Run this program as an administrator
- Click OK

Restart your PC, and try the game again.
When JediSurvivor is launched, open Task Manager, click on the Details tab, and find JediSurvivor.exe and run it in either High or even Real Time mode by right clicking >Set Priority > High or Real time[/b].

First, it lasted an hour for me then hung. The next two boots crashed the moment Koboh loaded, but then after that, I had about a 5 hour interrupted, stable session on Koboh.

I also changed my language from English (Australia) to English (US), but idk if this helped.

Credit for the Youtuber who actually provided the fix:

And for the rest of my post....

My build:
i5-7400 4C / 4T
16GB DDR4
MSI NVIDIA GEFORCE 1660 SUPER (6GB VRAM) - 531.68 latest drivers
512gb NVME boot drive + 1TB SSD gaming drive + 2TB HDD gaming drive
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Playing with an Xbox One controller over a micro USB cable

I preordered the digital deluxe game, and I wanted my money's worth. Coruscant ran fine, just slowly due to the known optimisation issues, but nonetheless Imperial Coruscant was great to see again after Andor.

Then I get to Koboh, and had a world of pain. What I tried:

- Changed all sorts of graphics settings. No luck
- Verified files. No luck
- Trusted the application in my AV. No luck.
- Turned off AV. Still freezing.
- Deleted the Unreal Engine folder mentioned in another thread. That helped briefly then it started freezing again.
- Reinstalled graphics drivers. No luck.
- Kept checking Steam forums for solutions / workaround. None were stable.
- Repaired EA Play. No luck.
- Checked Task Manager > Details > JediSurvivor.exe > Analyse Wait Chain. Every single time, it was waiting on some thread. The thread ID remained constant (didn't note it down but it was either in the 4,000 range or the 12,000 range).
- Looked online Downloaded a tool from Microsoft called SysInternals so I can check what the actual thread ID was.

Everytime time, it was something like:
JediSurvivor.exe!Ak TlsAllocateSlot+0x[insert some random hexadecimal notation here)

Now I originally thought TLS was referring to SSL/TLS for web encryption.
- Turned off Usage Reports. No luck.
- Turned off my Wifi adapter. No luck.

Looked online for solutions.
Discovered the link above, regarding the CrashReportClient.exe client.
Gave that a try and 3 freezes and a restart later, and Koboh was stable.

I looked up the command from SysInternals:
ntdll.dll!NtdllDialogWndProc_W+0x100

According to Google, this prompt is meant to generate a dialogue. The Crash Reporter normally generates a Windows dialogue regarding the crash and whether you want a report sent. So my guess is that might have been broken somewhere.

I was doing the side missions in case it froze so I didn't lose too much progress, but after the 1 hour mark it hadn't frozen yet and I started with the main missions again.

Performance is still quite sub-par. Playing 1080p on low preset and hovering between 2-40fps with occasional juttering during combat.

Regardless, from the fragments have I have played, Survivor is a decent game. Now it just needs some stability and performance patches.

I was chatting with my friend who also pre-ordered (still on Coruscant), and in true Palaptine fashion, said:
IIronic, the crash reporter save others from crashes, but not itself.

I have been awake all night so I need some rest before attempting Jedha.
