PC Stuttering Fix - Locked 60 FPS!
Hey everyone. I have a 4090, 12900K, and 64 gb of DDR5 RAM.

The game was a stuttering mess for me initially.

I can now get a completely locked 60fps, even in the hub town that is giving everyone issues.

The key is to change your display's refresh rate to 60hz, run the game in fullscreen mode, and disable ray-tracing.

When I run the game in 144hz refresh rate, I get insane stuttering even as the framerate goes from 60-120fps. Gsync does not help at all.

Changing my refresh rate to 60hz in Nvidia Control Panel and then opening the game gives me a completely smooth 60fps.

ENABLING A 60FPS FRAME RATE LIMITER DOES NOT FIX THE STUTTERS. YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR REFRESH RATE TO 60HZ.

Be sure to disable ray tracing since that will still cause drops and stutters.

I hope this helps other people looking for a fix!

Sucks that some of you guys have these issues to begin with. I play it on all epic with ray tracing with the 2k resolution. Runs like butter.

butter he says. lumpy a$$ butter

Imagine buying a 4090 and locking the fps to 60

oh dear

Imagine not realising that most PC games release with top tier graphically settings designed for future generations of hardware... Oh dear
Wow, that's just.. not true.

Didn't help for me, in fact it made it even worse. G-Sync is much smoother, tho the game is still hellova mess. Playing it through EA Play Pro sub so I don't own the game here. Frame rate is all over the place and crazy stutters on open areas even with Resize Bar and latest drivers.

My specs:

RTX 3090
32GB DDR5
i7 12700k @ 4,9Ghz

this really helped for me. im on a 5600x and 6800xt at 3440x1440. im getting around 55-60+ fps. ( up from 25-45 fps before) and getting around 75-98% gpu usage ( up from around 38%- 55%) stutters are gone so far in at the start of the game.

Edit. So after playing for awhile im averaging around 40-60 fps, but im no longer getting the error saying my 6800xt doesnt have enough memory to play the game and no more crashes

Yea, it's insane. But it does work lol. As long as the refresh rate is 60hz, the game runs like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dream. With this hardware, though, it should run at a much higher, smooth framerate. It can hit 100+, but it is just a mess of stuttering that GSYNC cannot correct. Even a fps limiter in Afterburner or Nvidia Control Panel causes stuttering.

The ONLY solution: changing the refresh rate of my TV to 60hz through Nvidia Control Panel.

The difference is literally making the game go from unplayable to near-flawless performance. Insane.

Weird. I set to 60hz and im still getting 30-50 fps in Coruscant on my 4080...

Sounds like more proof it's a port of sorts from consoles. Devs probably worked on it mainly on consoles (runs fine on my PS5 for the most part) then just dumped it onto PC with Denuvo baked in and called it finished.

That didn't do it for me. If anything it's even worse.

Running on a 4080, 9900k, tried both 1440p and 4k.

CPU usage does not go past 40s, GPU usage sits in the 50s, RT off, while most threads are at under 20% load.

This game is a travesty.

I'm going to test this soon.

The game runs ok-ish for me but it is far from acceptable state as it was released. I can run Coruscant mostly above 70 FPS with few areas where FPS drops just below 60. One area tanks my FPS to 45 right as cinematic starts to play. I run the game at 1440p, all Epic settings with RT off, dedicated fullscreen, VSync off. This is with 12900KF, RTX 3080Ti, 32GB DDR5 RAM, NVMe SSD and Win11. There are occasional stutters as the game loads next area and the game does not feel smooth even if it runs above 60 FPS.

My 144HZ 4k monitor will weep if I turn it into 60Hz oldtimer :)

Lock your monitor to 60Hz and report back!

I was having the EXACT same issues as you until I changed the refresh rate.

Unfortunately, I must report that this solution does not work for me. All it does is make the screen all shimmery due to 60Hz refresh rate, which my eyes are now used to anymore. I have also installed latest GRD drivers supporting SWJ: Survivor.

I have replayed initial Coruscant section twice, once with standard refresh rate just to see if there was any improvements in game's performance due to new drivers. The game runs pretty much the same but lowest dip was now 53 FPS compared to 45 before.

Next, I went to Nvidia to set my refresh rate to 60Hz for my native resolution as well as 1440p, which I use in the game. Resterated my computer, loaded SWJ: Survivor and replayed the whole Coruscant section again. The game felt much worse, everything was jittery. I also felt that stutter was more pronounced (I assume G-sync was not working when I locked my refresh rate to 60Hz). My FPS were capped at 60 FPS but there were still those drops below at times and the one section tanked my FPS to 45 again.

You can put an FPS limit in via the NVIDIA control panel for the game specifically if you don't want to keep changing your monitors refresh rate. This worked for me.

Cant find on Nividia control panel how to change refresh rate for the game specifically . Could you point out extactly wherE?
