Why is this game more demanding than Fallen Order?
It uses the same Unreal Engine 4, and it doesn't even look better graphically. Resident Evil 4 remake came out a month ago and the recommended specs are a GTX 1070 and an I7 8700. Jedi Survivors minimum specs are Fallen Orders recommended specs while using the same engine, and not even looking better. This is all aside from it's terrible launch state.

Jedi survivor uses unreal engine 5, not 4, and it's optimization sucks.

yeah, no, you are wrong... survivor is miles better in terms of graphics. lighting, higher poly count, better textures and even better vegitation.

yes, this game is more demanding that fallen order, and it is more demanding for a reason. do some research before making such absurd claims

Nope its same like in fallen order
which is unreal 4.

I could only imagine for unreal 5 engine you would need 10k $ card and cpu lol.

One major difference is the size of maps you play in. I have only played 3 or so hours so far but levels seems to be significantly larger, which mean there is a lot more geometry to be calculated in the background. UA4 is old engine nowdays and was never particularly good at running large open/semi-open game worlds.

I must say I am in a minority of lucky people who can run SWJ: Survivor at semi-decent pace, again based on my 3 or so hours experience. Reports indicated horrible performance from the get-go at Coruscant but my game runs the whole level mostly above 70 FPS. There was one section where my FPS tanked to 45 right as in-game cinematic kicked in. FPS also fluctuates a lot, from 120 in tight corridors down to 60 in areas with large open views and distant playable areas.

I run the game at 1440p at Epic settings and Raytracing off. My rig is i9 12900KF, RTX 3080Ti, 32GB DDR5 RAM, NVMe SSD and Win11.

The game definitely does not run great nor does it look amazing to warrant such performance but it does not completely ruin my experience.

Gives me think in future i would avoid unreal engine for sure if they dont come with better optimisations.

bigger textures, bigger levels. bigger everything. ofc it needs a bit more beef than fallen order.

This isn't a bit more, it's a lot more. Also, why was it so important to make the levels so much bigger? If this was the cost of the high requirements than it was pointless.

the levels literally have nothing to do with the game being heavier though...

it is the higher poly count and better lighting system

I didn't seen comparison videos yet, but I don't see a difference that can justify this.

look up comparison videos then. if you don't see a difference then you aren't qualified to make these sort of conlusions.

because the difference actually does justify it

I'm not saying that there isn't a difference. I'm saying that there isn't a big enough difference to justify it. Batman Arkham Knight still used Unreal Engine 3 like the previous games, but you could still clearly see the graphical jump without watching comparison videos.

and I am telling you that the difference does justify it

Ask EA and RESPAWN - the game LITERALLY uses the SAME DAMN ENGINE as JFO which is UNREAL ENGINE 4.

Yet somehow they managed to completely ♥♥♥♥ UP the optimization - i have to say this is on the same of BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT back in 2015.

Optimization and usage is a DAMN JOKE i'm getting :

CPU : 44%
GPU : 23%

just because they use the same engine, doesn't make the process of optimizing it the exact same
