Bought in steam. Game won't start b/c of EA app.

So installed the game through steam just like fallen jedi. EA gives me an error.

"This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again."

The EA app sees the game on my machine and let's me try to install the deluxe UPGRADE. But the EA app won't let me LAUNCH the game (though it lets me launch the fallen jedi game), because the game is not listed under "installed games".

Is there a reason they make this so convoluted to have to run through BOTH steam AND EA? So now I can't play a game i PAID for because of this.

HELP PLEASE. I'm the only one that uses this computer.

EDIT: Maybe the product code is needed? Where do you find the "product code" in your confirmation email? I looked in the email and NOWHERE is there a PRODUCT code in that email. I see the INVOICE number but no product code.

This also hasn't worked for me. I've uninstalled both EA app and the game itself multiple times, messed around with firewall settings, verified games files, and nothing is working. Game keeps telling me to reinstall the game but it's like bro I'm not doing it again a 4th time. This really sucks.

I restarted computer again and this time the game shows up in EA app as well - so currently running. Now the visual settings won't let me change any of them - I can select them but they're all "low" and it won't let me change any of them to any other option.

I am also having this exact issue restarted pc multiple times. restarted the app multiple time reinstalled it etc and nothing!

Try connecting the ea app first out of steam.Then once logged in, there's a link account selection on the right and select steam.Once that's linked up logout and log back onto steam and double clicking on game again to see if it links to ea app that way.

Same problem here. Getting really pissed here cause I just spent $70 for an error message. Why the ♥♥♥♥ does EA insist on making us use their buggy ass launcher??

Yes, I included it as well, just look abit further in the thread. (the launch issue problem)

I was able to get the game to launch with the EA app installed and launch from the EA app not steam.

Ahh alright.

Have you tried closing down steam and running it through the EA App afterwards (you can do that)

Ahh faster than me. Yes that seems to fix it for some, where the other fix does not work
