Just checking yours definitely doesn't have continue game once launched??
go type in the windows search bar *C:\Users\*USERNAME\Saved Games\Respawn\JediSurvivor\
replace"USERNAME" with your username on your computer, you're going to then see it have 2 saves, your backup and your save game. Put your save game into a folder on your desktop but keep your backup and your gameusersettings in there. Then load the game up, when you hit continue it'll say your save was corrupted, hit okay then it'll use your backup save.
That should fix it for you.
Both the backup and "normal" files had the same timestamp so they are clearly the same (I copied the whole directory before emptying it in order to keep them) and the backup file is also corrupted. I placed back my original files, disconnected my internet so that the game doesn't try to reach the cloud server and my local save is definitely busted.
2 things wrong :
- Having a unique save slot is the worst idea that is most likely inherited from console gaming. A game like Dead Space also has save points tied to locations in the game but it stills offers several slots so that you can swap between them and if your last save file is corrupted you can still go back to a precedent save.
- EA app enforces cloud saving and there is NO option to disable it.
I am a big boy, I know how to handle my saves, let me handle them the way I want, not the way YOU want.
That didn't work for me sadly :S
Is anyone else getting this error?
