how to make sure my game progress is saved to the cloud.

hi so earlier i quit the game and relaunched when i wanted to resume playing. i was about 3 hours in and on launch it popped up saying it couldnt sync with the cloud try again in five minutes. i tried again and the same thing happened. so i restarted my pc and hit play and the game launched fine and i continues where i left off. ive just had dinner and im continuing again now its asking me do i want to play from my cloud save from 3 hours ago or my local files from 15 minutes ago.

i dont want my progress saved locally. is there a way i can make my local save get saved to the cloud???? or do i have lose 5 hours of progress and carry on from the cloud save???
