Game won't launch past the EA launcher.

Start the game in Steam the EA launcher opens and then closes, verified files but still happening, any ideas anyone please?

This worked for me: find your EA install folder (mine was here: ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\EA)... Then just run the "EA Updater" which will install the latest version. All worked fine from then on.

Did you also edit the config file and then restart Origin? Also, when editing the config file, you might need admin rights to actually save it.
Origin shouldn't be in offline or restricted mode.

reinstalled the first game, runs fine off the EA app. Its the game..

Not for all of us, I can't launch ANY game that's paired with EA, Dead Space, BF2042, NFS Unbound, nothing....

Everyone who's having the error where the EA App fails to launch the game:

Go to Control Panel
Locate EA App
Press Uninstall
EA App will ask, Repair or Uninstall
Press Repair
Let it run through and Repair
Once it's done, try again

It should work, because I had this very same issue on launch and it was immediately resolved doing this.

I did all the fixes on steam forums and EA forums by staff none worked, the way that worked for me after two days of trying was by doing a cleanboot and disabling all non microsoft apps and turning off windows real time virus protection and zone alarm firewall

Have you contacted EA's support? Just if it is an EA Play issue, they are the ones that need to fix it.

I had the same problem, downloaded again still same. Finally totally turned off my ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall and came right up.
