No Steam Deck - No Buy
Before anyone starts to complain about "Steam Deck Crybabies", not everyone has the luxury to come home every day (or staying at home all the time unemployed) to play games on a new console or a high-end PC. I for my part travel for work and spend 80% of a year abroad whith many power cuts and internet outings. That's why I rely on a Steam Deck to play my favorite games while waiting at the airport, while on the plane or while sitting in my container with no power and no internet.
I really liked playing the first game and was totally looking forward to playing this one .... only to find out NO SD SUPPORT.
What a bummer, but at least I saved money I can now spend on Diablo IV to play on my Deck (.... and when the internet is on).

Ah, a potato-comment. Saw other anti steam-deck comments from you on other threads, so I won't actually take your obviously biased opinion into consideration (especially since you didn't take into consideration my explained need for a Steam Deck).
In addition it seems that even high end PC's are "too weak to run THIS current AAA game" 😉

this isn't ant-steam, it's pro-reality

game runs fine on my desktop, good luck running it on the steam potato

Performance on 5K+ PC's is struggling right now. I think it's safe to say Steam Deck check mark is not in the cards.

i get what youre saying, have you looked into any gaming laptops though i have an older run from around the time skyrim came out i used to use while in college that ran games pretty decently, and i think they just came out with one with the 40 series so id imagine some with the 30series are out there also. could always save up bit by bit for one. prob the best idea if youre looking to game on the go. though the steam deck is def more portable in terms of size.

RE4 Remake runs beautifully on the SteamDeck. What are you even talking about?

The Steamdeck can definitely handle a decent amount of modern releases, but I wouldn't explicitly expect that. The system specs aren't robust enough for a lot of AAA titles unless you play at the lowest settings, if at all. I love my Deck, but you gotta have reasonable expectations for its capabilities. That said, there is also definitely no reason to buy this game if you would be playing it exclusively on the Deck of course.

He's right. You bought a low end handheld for 500 or 600 bucks. It CAN NOT play AAA games natively with any sort of good performance. Now it CAN handle older games just fine like Mad Max even with all settings maxed out.

every game on steam runs on steam deck...
the question they answer with the green and yellow signs is just, is it optimized for steam deck? aka does it support x-box controller configuration?

Sometimes I even run some of my browsers and watch youtube on steamdeck.
or stream it from my pc and watch dvds with vlc media player... while laying in bed being sick and stuff.

It runs as well as you can expect for such weak hardware. For a modern game it runs beautifully by steam deck standards.

Resident Evil 4 Remake runs perfectly on it.
