game is freezing

game is freezing around the start of the second mission. can someone help or tell me why it keeps freezing? it wont unfreeze once its frozen

In the task manager put the game on max priority. Worked for me.

I found a workaround that stop the freezing for me. Bring up you task manager, go to the services tab. Next start up Jedi Survivor then go back to the task manager and find the file JediSurvivor.exe then right click it and set priority to high. Don't choose realtime because it can cause Issues. After I did that I have been able to play the game with no freezes or crashes. Hope this helps and its not just me getting lucky.

Just out of curiosity what kind of processor is everyone running who is having this issue because it’s exactly what I’m encountering and I’m wondering if it’s because my i5-4690k only runs 4 threads instead of the recommended minimum of 8.

I had literally no issues in the tutorial area but once I got to koboh I freeze in the same spot every time?

For this if you press windows key and tab and add a second desktop then move your game screen or your processes screen to a new desktop you can access it and kill the game without hard restarting.

Well, got a whole hour of play in before a hard freeze, had to manually shut down my PC to recover. I'll try that Realtime setting as opposed to High and see what happens.

Yeah that's the place. You fight like 4 dudes jump a clif and then look at the sweet dino ride thing and bang. Freeze but everything sounds like it's going on in the background.

After that I disabled Subtitles cause I always freezed when someone was talking, either in cutscenes or environmental talk. It was impossible to stay in town. After I disabled subtitles, no freezes for 4h straight. Test it out, maybe it will help you guys too.

I went into my nvidia control panel and setup the following settings for the jedi survivor program

Anisotropic filtering - 16x
antialiasing - fxaa - on
antialiasing - mode - override
antialiasing - setting - 8x
antialiasing - transparency - off
MFAA - On
Open GL GDI compatibility - prefer performance
power management mode - prefer maximum performance
texture filtering - anisotropic sample - on
texture filtering - negative lod bias - allow
texture filtering - quality - high performance
texture filtering - trilinear optimization - on
threaded optimization - on
vertical sync - adaptive

also went into task manager, under details and found jedi survivor and changed its priority to high (didnt fix my issue on its own)

CPU need has dropped so my cpu is no longer capped out and i can get past areas that were freezing me before.

Im successfully running the game now with ray tracing, vsync and amd options off in game on all epic settings with no issues.

I am also currently freezing. Again, like many others, its a specific cutscene on Koboh, where I crest a ridge and Cal tries to look over it. I've got far enough to see that a 'Wanderer' approaches but freezes every time. I'm running a PC that's pretty much the minimum spec of the game (just over), but I haven't had performance issues before this that were huge.

Can't progress. Want to play my game. Sad times. :(

Well shoot, just happened again with subtitles off. Was rotating my camera while opening a chest on Koboh and it froze here[i.imgur.com].

Kind of wondering if it has something to do with motion blur now. Has anyone tested with it off?
