game is freezing

game is freezing around the start of the second mission. can someone help or tell me why it keeps freezing? it wont unfreeze once its frozen

Happens to me now too out of nowhere... was just loading my save game and it already start to freeze. Thought it was just a bug that might happens sometimes... but no, since then I already had 4 (!) freezes now in only a half hour. Already try to restart my Pc but that was not helping at all. Dunno what I could even do to fix this...

I know it might sound weird but I tested the High Priority and I still had freezes. After that I disabled Subtitles cause I always freezed when someone was talking, either in cutscenes or environmental talk. It was impossible to stay in town. After I disabled subtitles, no freezes for 4h straight. Test it out, maybe it will help you guys too.

@STEAM Better start replying to complaints/refund requests better than just bat people off with their standard "Terms and conditions " answer as to Jedi Survivor on PC. This game is in breach of the UK Customer Service ACT 2015. I recommend anyone with issues contacting Steam. I have played for 5 hrs with constant crashes and issue with video playback and now game will not even load. 2 refund requests rejected so far since "played" it for more than 2 hrs, but how can this be correct!!!!! This is going to blow up into Legal action if they dont get it sorted

Did you do High Priority AND disable subtitles? Because for me nothing helped :c

So far putting it to high priority worked perfectly to stop any freeze. None in the last 2 hours when i used to get one every 30 min or so. Here is the complete procedure:
Start the game -> press ctrl+alt+del -> open Task Manager -> in the processes, right click on star wars survivor -> go to details -> right click on jedisurvivor -> set priority -> high

I can confirm high priority stopped my freezing too, played three hours since I switched it and no freeze/crash

I've already used SpicyMemeSyndrome's ini fix, which helped a lot, also have this mod here installed: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/7/?tab=description

Both make sure I can run the game on Epic details, RT off and smooth 60'ish FPS even on Koboh, but It kept on crashing.

Game froze for me on ever cut scene, I managed to skip them, but it would freeze again right when I tried to enter the Cantina in Koboh...

After seeing this post, I've installed Process Lasso, set CPU and I/O Priority to Always High for the game and the Application Profile to Bitsum Highest Performance. After doing so, I was able to watch the entire cutscene after the fight, enter the cantina and enjoy the reunion.

The game itself also runs a lot smoother, at least it feels that way and tabbing out doesn't cause so much stuttering.

Same here. Did try various settinghs now, but still get random freezes. Its annoying.

Applied the patch and launched from Steam and still froze upon entering Souther Reach. But then I launched from the EA app and went for a good half an hour with no issues (I stopped at a meditation point so as not to push it).

So you guys put out a patch update and my game was running okay for the most part but after the update I get to my next cut scene with turgle( I can't remember what mission I'm on) but it keeps freezing immediately as I load in because I load in on the cutscene so nice job on the "patch".

I found a temporary fix that's working for me.
Select Task Manager in your PC while the game is running (don't load your save yet), and then right click on the Jedi Survivor exe, select details, select set priority, then realtime, now load your save.
This works for me every time so far, but without it total freeze.
You have to do it every time you load your game.
At least it's playable until they get a proper fix.

Well, got a whole hour of play in before a hard freeze, had to manually shut down my PC to recover. I'll try that Realtime setting as opposed to High and see what happens.
