Visual settings can't be toggled with keyboard / mouse

Tried going into the "Visual" settings menu to try & tweak some of these to help improve performance but everything's hardcoded to "Medium" & doesn't allow me carry out any tweaks to Texture quality etc. All I can tweak is the stuff that has On/Off buttons (Ray Tracing, Vsync) and the resolution.

I posted on the Reddit group & another PC user said they encountered the same issue & only worked for them when they had a gamepad plugged in.

Can anybody else confirm if they're experiencing the same thing?

worked for me but then i do have a controller plugged in permanently . (i did notice as well on first boot, the game specifically stated works 'best' with controller) which is of no comfort to you. But perhaps if u got a spare controller for the time being plug it in so u can at least sort the settings out that you want. I don't use my controller to play this im using M+KB , but i do have it plugged in all the same

i took a look for you there does seem to be a way to alter like in most games these days the settings via config file using notepad ++ if u know what ur doing too :) use as a last resort either way hope u get it up and running to ur liking :)

Thank you - yeah, pretty comfy doing that - just haven't used Steam that much; snooping around the directory structure to figure out where the config file's stored. Found the binaries in the steamapps folder.

Go on top of the option you want to modify, press enter and change with A and D. Press enter again. It's mindblowing that you cant change them with the mouse yet they release their product on PC.

That's an excuse because Japanese devs can't into PC. EA is American they should have at least one or two guys on the payroll who have used KB/M before.

you need to use WASD (specifically A and D) to change settings

developers need to hire an UX guy. i wanna exit game and mouse clicking on the selections just won't work. only with keyboard.
