Blurry game?
Anyone else have a blurry game? I tried looking for the resolution scaling option but there is none. I also turned the AMD Super resolution setting off and still no change. Why can’t pc ports be good at launch…..

My game was blurry as hell until I turned FidelityFX to max, I thought it would make things worse but instead improved exponentially.

I am only have blurry issues if I turn off FidelityFX 2.0, otherwise it looks great. Now on a 6850 w/ 5800 XT and 32GB of RAM with Rebar on.

Ryzen 7 3700X | RX 6800XT | 32GB RAM | SSD install | Resolution 2560*1440
The game runs at 40-50FPS on EPIC settings with Ray Tracing turned off.
Yes there are stutters and texture/shader streaming issues. Next patch will fix that.

Remember to turn on Fidelity Super Resolution if you're running a AMD card.
That helps with the washed out looks, no performance difference.

for some reason the game is super blurry when I turn off amd super resolution thingy. Turning it too quality fix that (with somehow no performance drop). RTX 3070

Like ultra performance max or quality?

Thanks for being honest about AMD gpu performance... We are all in this together. Tried to tell all the trolls that the game has serious issues on all platforms. I see it using 15GB on my 4090 at 4k native. Getting 60-80fps in the beginning area, but with minor stutters. Game needed more time for polish, but I guess EA forced it out the door.

Bro this game was revealed in May of 2022. This should’ve been released in November like the 1st game but ea forced it out. At least the console versions run pretty well though. It just sucks that is pc players get the short end of the stick once again.

I've had alot of blurry distant objects in alot of "next gen" games running at 1440p. I've enabled DSR to up my res to 2160p (e.g. 4k) and the blurry textures seem to clear up.

It could be a weird AO thing, Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, who knows but try turning on DSR/DLDSR (Google it), I've upscaled to 2.25DL and have noticed MASSIVE improvements in overall game blurry fixes.

turn antialiasing on low. hopefully there will be a workaround for that soon on reddit. if you didnt know there is a list of a lot of games with forced taa that have a workaround. also use either amd sharpening or NVIDIA sharpening depending on what computer you have. this really helped me. just the performance is bad lol

its because for some reason the "disabled" setting is not working, it puts fsr on "ultra perf" mode, so it looks super blurry, you can check it is still on by rotating the camera, you will see the atrocious ghosting... for now the only "solution" is to keep it on quality mode, the game does not seem able disable it.

Been testing all day and realized the "Graphics Quality" option will cause the INI Resolution to downscale.. If you set it to Low, then custom the INI will still be at 50 resolution scale. If you want 100 res scale, you need to put it on Epic, then change your graphics options you want. Check out your AppData\Local\SwGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor .ini to confirm.

Yeah for some reason it's permanently blurry unless you switch Fidelity FX to "quality" regardless of graphics settings. Something is seriously wrong with the optimization i can tell you that much.

Because TAA sucks and features like FSR2/DLSS replace TAA which often makes games blurry

weird that this ini has no line for fsr, maybe thats why fsr never actually turns off

Bro you’re a lifesaver thank you! The fact that it’s tied to that and not its own setting is mind boggling. But at least it looks better now. Thanks.
