Will the game run on my RTX 3070?
I have a RTX 3070, Intel i7 12700KF, and 32gb DDR4 3200mhz. I want this game to run at 4k 60fps. Will that be possible? What about 1440p?

I quite often have use dlss with 3090 in 1440p for extra fps

Unless they dramatically improve things its looking like it probably wont run well on any PC.

"The only thing that threatened to ruin my good time were the constant performance issues with the PC version. Even with Nvidia's latest driver specifically optimized for the game, my framerate regularly slowed to a crawl at very annoying moments. Stepping through doors sometimes triggers double-digit framerate drops for ten seconds or more. Cutscenes often plummet to 15-20 fps, cut off or overlap dialogue, and usually don't recover until I get control back.

I'm no Unreal Engine expert, but the worst slowdowns always seem to occur when the game's loading stuff in the background. Using the galaxy map on Cal's ship turned into a slideshow every single time—presumably because it's begun loading the planet I'm about to travel to. Performance in the most open parts of Koboh is pretty bad, too. On an RTX 2080 Super, i9-9900KS 4.00GHz, and 32GB RAM, I was lucky to squeeze a 35 fps average in the semi-open world. Isolated levels ran flawlessly at 80-90 fps, so there's clearly something up with the way Respawn is drawing big spaces. I briefly tried one other machine (RTX 3060, Ryzen 7 5700G, 16GB RAM) and had the same problems."

Only if you exclusively play the latest AAA games, and/or expect ultra-high frame rates.

I can play quite a few games in 4K with my 1660 Super, so 3070 can handle loads of games in 4K without issue.

This game, though? Nah. 3070 definitely won't be able to do it.
Well, playing old games in 4k is not that impressive

A 3080TI is struggling to hit 50FPS at 1440p so 3070 is a definite no. I’ve the same card as you and I cancelled my pre order. Completely unacceptable that a 3070 can’t run this max settings 1440p at a stable 60FPS.

It won’t even run at a stable 60fps with a $5-$6k pc let alone your rig

Just wait, I'm confident it will be patched several times during coming weeks to fix all issues. Then one patch will add DLSS, and an other will remove DRM. Then, the price will be lower, and I'll buy it :)
Waiting this, I'll replay the first one which have been gifted to me by Epic ;)

drm does not make significant difference in performance unless your rig is terrible.

Sorry but that card is old, even my 3080ti starting to show its age sadly...

i would assume due to 12gb of vram, because otherwise it should have same performance as 3090 which is great for 1440p

Denuvo itself isn't a problem for being a DRM. Denuvo is a problem because as a piece of software it absolutely sucks.

Definitely not, check out reviews on youtube (NOT IGN's though).

I really like this one from Atomic Heart devs, it is priceless:

Oh, and we don't have DLSS with this one to save us!, pffiiuuu ;)
