How powerful is an intel core i7 107500H @ 2.6ghz (12 cores)
This might seem like a weird question guys but bear with me, i see a lot of pple running "Ryzens" and some running intel CPU's with the letter "K" attached to the number. Am guessing those are high end CPU's ??? How does mine stack up ?? This is a gaming laptop CPU mind you. I have an RTX 3070 so am very sure my GPU is not the problem here. Maybe my CPU just can't run this game ? Lmao ! am actually curious. Thanks

You barely hit the minimum requirements on the CPU front, and I would suspect you have a mobile version of the 3070 which is also barely hitting the minimum requirements.

So tldr; you probably can play at low settings @ 1080p with FSR set to performance.

It's actually 5ghz boost during gaming your processor will most likely always run close to boost, maybe slightly lower since laptops tend to get hot.

I wouldn't say barely this is a 7700 and 10750h passmark scores, the 10750h is close to 50% faster I would not call the barely at all.

If that benchmark's accurate, you can run it. If you want more stable framerates, drop some settings. That MSI laptop's 3070 in the video can pull 130w though.

"Ryzens" are the AMD equivalent to Intel Core series processors. Usually comparable to Core i5's and i7's. The AMD Ryzen "X3D" variants are more often compared to the Intel Core i9's.

This is Steam, a PC gaming platform. Historically, such a place would be where such a question would be considered normal...

"K" is the Intel designation to indicate that the CPU supports overclocking. What this means is that Intel doesn't support overclocking other processors. Overclocking cheaper processors used to be the norm.

The "F" designation seems to indicate "Flagship", or the official product.

The "H" designation seems to be for laptop variants, ones which are intended to be used in similar capacities to the "F" chips. Perhaps "H" is short for "High performance Desktop Replacement"?

Laptops also have a "U" designation, presumably "U" means "ultrabook". Chips that need to be toned down for lighter workloads and more general use cases.

Whether or not your CPU can run this game is a matter of personal opinion.

It is a game that ends up on the wrong foot when viewed as a "PC release", and is perhaps better thought of as a "console port" released in an unfinished state.

The game seems to be better than a month ago at launch. You are the one playing the game now, you are the judge of whether your PC can run the game or not. It is what it is... Until the next patch and we can then reevaluate again.

How powerful is an intel core i7 107500H @ 2.6ghz (12 cores)
no its not a 12 core CPU
dont think there are 12 core i7s, the much better 12700H got 14 cores

Basically it's 6 core 12 threads some people get those mixed up.

I've got a laptop with an i7-11800H and 3060 (mobile version). I can run the game on high settings with FSR quality at 1080p. Hard to tell what performance problems are my hardware or the game but it runs well enough for me.

Your specs are somewhat similar, maybe a year older. I think it'll be better than you expect.

as you said its a laptop gpu which is much slower than the desktop version

https://www.techspot.com/articles-info/2206/bench/15.png

its actually slower than desktop RTX 2070Super
that is if its 115-130W version and not the even worse 80-95W 3070

This is why people should read some reviews before buying computers.
Its like saying that the i7 7700K is an 8core cpu
or FX 8350 is a true 8core cpu

Yeah people should read up but most are casuals they won't know or don't care to know, hell the OP thinks his 3070 is good which in actuality a 3070 mobile is like a 1070 and that is like 7 years ago old.

Established principles of PC Games, is that the minimum requirements guarantee 60 FPS.

Current standards are for the Minimum Requirements to be at least 720p, Low Settings, 60 FPS.

That said, 1080p/High/60 is not uncommon on cards in the GTX 1070 class.

That is for the cards, subsequently, reading up on this game corroborates the OP's stance that his RTX 3070 mobile is not the problem.

Not unless he is attempting 4k/60, or 1440p/144.

Actually no not nobody has established that and it's the publishers/developers who do establish that and it could mean anything, some devs have been more in tune saying

medium/1080p/60fps

But otherwise it's the wild wild west out here.

TLDR : there is no standard.
