When is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error gonna get fixed?
I love the game but i kept on encountering DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error every few mins making the game unplayable. When are they going to fix this critical error?

Likely never because most of those errors result from:

1. Code execution being blocked or failing without low-level function from DX12 that lacks a guard (must wait until H2 builds of Windows) from any of these issues:

A. PC does not have permissions set properly, so the game cannot access a resource
B. A thread improperly accessed a resource
C. An operation not being completed because a resource was not found

2. Hardware interrupt (draw call or accelerated operation) was interrupted, so the system told the window terminate rendering

Either way, it's unlikely the devs have the expertise to fix it. Some of it has to do with the user's individual configuration, but others will have to do with how their system handles threading. Windows 11 "H" build will have refinements in how threading works and DX12 functions will be looked at.

Don't quote me on it providing any fix, because the issue can result from many places even something as dumb as UAC on Windows 11.
Thanks for the reply, i changed the resolution to 1440p and somehow I was able to get past the stuck point. Haven't had any error for hours after that :steamhappy:

It's caused from poor implementation of Ray Tracing. Turn that off and you won't crash on Jedha anymore.

browse to game files
- open _installer folder
- run cleanup and touchup

nothing will appear to happen but its done.

Crashing in Jedha = turn off Ray Tracing.

No more crashes after that.

I confirm , RTX off and no more crash on Jedha..
and hosnestly , RTX on this game breaks completely perf , I prefer to play without RTX and have decent fps.
Ray tracing seems to be the culprit. Thanks fellow Jedis, may the force be with you~:steamhappy:
