Normally the only 1 shot move is the grab attack where it eats you.
I wonder if a solution could be slowing you to add certain creatures in the training mode so that you can practice them without a load screen and without running back.
I don't know, just an idea and may not work at all.
Just don't get hit bro
That said, I love your idea about using the lightsaber to stop the attack. If only.
Although, I had a lot of problems with the second one, when I had plenty of health upgrades and high level.
May be you should do main quest a little, get more upgrades. As people said, he has only one one-shot grab, the rest you can survive with enough health. He also has two sequential ground slams which can kill you pretty quickly, but this attack is blockable.
Is there some tactic to the Rancor fight using the many bones scattered around? I immediately thought of the movie reference, but could in no way do anything except lob the thing with a force throw...to no effect.
