* SPOILERS * Don't know if i am bugged or if i need a new skill?
Hey there,

Loving the game so far. Had no issues, until now. I cant seem to get past the red laser doors when trying to find bode after the incident. I have screen shots and watched walk throughs but all the walk through seem to just bypass these red laser doors. Ive almost 100 percented the game cause ive been looking for this skill to slice past them but yea no go....

If they're red, you don't have the ability yet. Someone will give you something to bypass those ray shields and they'll turn green.

There are different incidents that involve companions. You'd have to be more specific.

I presume you're at the start of nova garon? Here's a clue: The red laser door is very bad game design. Green is just an artistic choice of the residents apparantly. Doesn't really mean anything.

What’s even worse is the data entry you get when you encounter this forcefield specifically says it “vaporizes all organic matter”. So my immediate thought was if I dashed through, it would be the same as if I fell down a pit.

Nah, there’s a red forcefield you encounter at the start of a later area in the game. And the only difference between it and the green forcefield is that the red one slightly damages you if you fail to dash through it.

Ah! Those.

I found that I had to jump and dash through some barriers and only needed to dash through others.

There are also others of a different sort later in that part that only required dashing and didn't require also jumping but I had to be closer to some of those than I wanted to be.

Nah, it definitely wasn't communicated well by the developers. Up to that point you're conditioned to think that green barriers are the only ones you can go through. You encounter white barriers that you can't dash through, further cementing the idea. And then you're suddenly presented with a red barrier and expected to know that you can dash through it.
