Hell even games work on my 8TB mechanical drive, yes loading times might be a few seconds more but its completely playable

People defending the enormous file size have no idea how proper file compression works....or in this case the lack thereof by Respawn. 150gb for a game in 2023 is not normal no matter how you try to put it. The largest open world games out there are nowhere near this big. You know another game similar in size? Forspoken, and that game was/is an unoptimized piece of garbage that has zero file compression. Being okay with this lets companies know that you're okay with them not optimizing their file sizes, and they're only going to get bigger.

Higher res 4k+ textures & uncompressed audio files are BIG!
Consoles don't need to compress files anymore neither does the PC, it just hinders performance overall doing one more step in the background while you're in-game.

Games are going to get bigger over time not smaller...

It's just another step the system has to work on while you're playing a game...
Forspoken is terrible for other reasons than just the file size...

Do some research you're wrong about "File compression" in gaming, it hinders not improves performance...
