To be fair I initially played it on console, got it on PC quite some time after launch so didn't know that. Hopefully Jedi will get there too.
Idk what copy of rdr2 you played because that game is anything but barren and basic, like are you actually serious right now? You could release rdr2 today and say its a next gen game and because of its jaw dropping graphical fidelity and insane attention to detail people would actually believe you.
RDR2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I've played it 5 times on multiple platforms. I'm still in awe of it's graphics to this day. But I'm not stupid enough to fan boy it and dismiss it's own set of issues it has. Besides very specific tailor made cutscenes, character models are lower quality than you are remembering during gameplay. Also being so massively open world, at times it can look like its lacking the finer details and clutter. Jedi survivor being a more enclosed environment allows for finer details. This is just a fact.
On the other hand, Rockstar are the top 1% on video game quality. No doubt.
