Endless loading screen after 1st cutscene

Hey!
Trying to play the game. Pressing New Game, the cutscene plays. After it loading screen appears. Like after 90% of progress it stops, the screen goes black and that's it. Only way out is alt+f4.
Now I found a file "kcd.log" and in it it seems that I get stuck on operation
"Loading config file 'Config/CVarOverrides/kutnohorsko.cfg' (engine\config\cvaroverrides\kutnohorsko.cfg)". I didn't find that file, but steam file verification says everything is good.

Anyone had something similar who knows how to fix it?
I have the game on my main SSD drive, I've tried going windowed and turning off AA, nothing helped

I'm in the exact same boat, really frustrating. Tried turning off AA, going windowed. Made sure I had no mods from KCD1 installed. Tried running the game as administrator. Tried deleting cache and restarting. Tried about 20 different things to be honest, nothing works. I skip through first cut scene and then hit loading screen. It loads until about 90% then goes to a black screen, I can still hear audible noises that sounds like birds and water in the background, audio from the game environment. But nothing loads in. I've let it run for an hour just in case. You'd think the devs would address this because a considerable number of people seem to be reporting, though many find their own personal little fixes eventually, I haven't been as lucky.

Well, for me it fixed itself the next day. I have no idea what did it, but in the morning I've tried again in windowed and no AA, and it worked!
I've made a support ticket to devs, so I'll repost here what they'll answer if they do

I just had the same problem today. Haven't been able to pay yet.

I have the same issue :( My log also shows kutnohorsko.cfg as the last operation. Hope this gets fixed.

For me, I'd like to know if everyone else picked a bunch/all debuffs cause I did. But I got it to work by picked only half and then just skipping all the cutscenes as fast as possible

I had the same issue, I disabled Steam Overlay in steam settings, that fixed it for me. I still have Steam Cloud on.
