Sex with.... (SPOILERS)

Katherine.

I tried my best to avoid her while being kind at the same time, the game didn't give me an option to have sex with her, it was a forced on me via a cut-scene.

This is NOT a trans/gay/SJW/etc post. I RP'd in this game as if I was married to Theresa from the first KCD so I didn't go forward with any advances or use bathhouse "services". I didn't choose any of the "heart" options in conversation with any NPC.

Then as I'm leaving Suchdol, Katherine throws herself at me and I have no option to either proceed or turn her down. I didn't even think she was attractive on a physical level and her personality is the opposite of a women I would seek IRL. She annoyed me most of the game more than anything.

I love OPTIONS in these type of games and I'm glad you gave us so many in this game. Many times I'm in a cut-scene and want to get out of the cut-scene so I can choose how I want to proceed and most of the time I'm able to. I don't understand why that was not an option with Katherine...I mean you made it an option several times with Hans making it quite clear via the "heart" option if we choose that gay things would happen.

In the future please make events/situations like the forced Katherine sex optional. Now I've cheated on Theresa and I had no say in it... (I'm being melodramatic but the point stands)

This should not happen, if you not chose the correct answers in conversations and/or dont do her optional questlines while supporting her in every possible way.

If you just "wanted to be friendly" and at every chance supported her in every step, solved all her sidequests while always beeing more than friendly and additional flirty to her... well.

There are several key scences like "good luck kiss" at the bath situation etc. you need to pass.

Else it should simply be a Bug.

Yes. Was supprised too. Had a little good bye chat with her and had a romantic - the heart - option in the dialogue and I did NOT choose it.. And then, the cutscene which forced Heinrich to bang her...

I'm the completionist that doesn't have a charity organization (haha). Seriously thought I complete everything in games like this. If completing all her side missions etc. forces us into a romance that is improper development. Again, OPTIONS. Also, I did try to avoid anything that seemed flirtatious, it's hard to tell sometimes in games like this if an option will lead to that unless there is the glaring "heart" icon that makes it extremely clear.

Even in such cases (bathhouse scrub) it would be difficult in the moment, although myself would not put myself in situations where cheating could be an option, even emotionally via flirting is the first step to adultery. Marriage is supposed to be a sacred union with adultery out of the question and I was treating it as such in this game. Until I was forced.

This is exactly what happened to me.

I have a feeling the "heart" option at Suchdol is bugged and not properly displaying leading some of us to accidentally choose to romance her.

Also didn't choose the heart option and got the cutscene anyway lol, either the game overrides it if you have been too nice to her and done all her stuff, or it's bugged and acts like you chose it.

The latter wouldn't surprise me tbf, there are many times in dialogues where I've chosen something that sounds reasonable or matches how I see the Henry I'm playing but what is actually said is something much different.

My reply to her before that cut-scene was not flirty nor was it dismissive. I chose the middle ground option how I typically would when replying to her. No heart icon.

That's typical in these games where dialogue has choice, Mass Effect had the same issue and I'd imagine it will always be an issue in games such as these where your choice and what you THINK it will mean, is entirely different from what the dev intended.

I did the exact same thing and was also annoyed. I don't think I flirted with her a single time the whole game. I chose options that seemed friendly but never one that had the heart icon. I was pretty annoyed that suddenly I wound up having sex with her right at the end AND it changed the conversation at the end of the game where they suggest that there might be a future with Katherine.

I just had the same thing happen, where I never selected a heart option and even selected the (leave) option with Katherine before waiting at the ramparts for Samuel, but the scene popped anyways. The only thing that has seemed to help is just ignoring the optional objective of saying goodbye to Katherine altogether. Definitely sucks and doesn't feel right to my Henry's character, but it's what it is.

It's the only romance with a women I'm missing, but even if I tried as best as I could, nothing happened, maybe I missed something?
