How to successfully perform combos such as mittelhaw and othersh as mittelhaw
Ok, I don't want to try find answer on YouTube or generally on internet, because YouTube tends to based on algorithms plague recommendation section with spoilers.

I need advice on combat. Sofar I have been able to just perfect Block, some lucky strikes and master counter strike. But I have almost never been able to successfully do combos.

I have the same problem, when I am in training with a teacher, of course then, the combos work.

When you are in combat, it is like it is written, you attack, the other one conters, you have to block bc (when you use an axe and no sword with masterstrike possibility),

then enemy attacks, you block, counter strike, gets blocked, he attacks and the same game going on, until you get your one hit and so on, until you have worn his health down.

A few marrygolds to refresh, Aqua Vitalis to stay alive when you attack a bandit camp, your dog taking care now and then of one bandit, that's it.

But combos get through in the rarest cases. Most enemies don't survive 3 hits, so maybe you get 2 strikes and while the bandit already goes down, you can't place the third strike to fuifill the combo.

Or try Zornhouw/Zornort, you want to plaxe 3 strikes from the right and 1 from the left? How long did warehorse think, the enemy watches you doing that? The reality is, 2 following strikes is not to often.
You need to depelete their stamina first

When they start struggling to block your attack, their stamina is low, that is the time to go for a combo

when his stamina is down, so is mine, I have to pause to gain stamina then myself.

If I would attack in the phase when my and his stamina is low, I risk a masterstrike or combo from the enemy, that then would harm me immensly, as my stamina is down.

Don't counter attack after perfect block, it takes a lot of stamina. Just performing a perfect block does not drain stamina. Just let him keep attacking as you block. You will hear him start breathing heavier

It takes a lot of practice to get right
Don't forget about power attacks. A good power attack at the right moment can make them stumble giving you an opening

Another working tactics is after perfect block to attack from a side the enemy is not guarding. If you land the first hit more often than not you can land a combo as well. Especially if you have perks that cause the enemy to fight inefficiently.
Dodging to the side gives you an opening for a combo
