The game has all the bells and whistles we want, but it just doesn't feel satisfying to play.
I would like to see a Mordhau style combat in an RPG one day, and thought perhaps KCD2 would be that based upon watching gameplay, though unfortunately ended up being very wrong.
Stop comparing every single game of a similar genre to your favourite mess of the game design you played as a kid, it just makes you look inexperienced
If another game exists please let me know, I'd like to check it out.
Anyway, to me OP came up with a very silly comparison that just doesn't make any sense to me (I have pĺayed countless hours of Skyrim on my Xbox 360 many years ago + some hours on Steam), so I'll again say
Then go play modded Skyrim.
and leave you to discuss the topic of this thread with other people to whom this topic might make sense.

Thank you, definitely seems pretty similar to Skyrim, though gameplay wise comes across more as Dark Souls in spirit just with First Person.
Seems worth checking out.
In spirit, KCD2 is absolutely a non-fantasy version of Skyrim with survival mods.
Perhaps asking the question, why would a game have woke elements when the developer is definitely not woke?
We already have, want a new game, and unfortunately KCD2 gets close to the feeling Skyrim provided, but not close enough.
The game is missing exciting lore to bring you in to the story and world.
An analogy for this would be that the game's vibe just feels like one is pressing "e" to follow the path.
