[Bugs/Glitches] NPCs and Questgivers dying on their own
Today I learned that sometimes NPCs can just die on their own.

While going around the Quest log popped up informing me that I failed a Quest because the Questgiver has died. The Quest was Invaders and the NPCs name was Vuytek. He the Questgiver. I was exploring the inside of a House in the Village related to another Quest. I do not know how it happened. It was just a few minutes after I had accepted the Quest.

Feel free to share if something similar happened to you. I decided not to reload and just move on without the Quest, but I know other might be more bothered by things like these.

My Blacksmith disappeared off of the first map! He was stuck in the East and remained there so I couldn't learn the Lullaby potion I needed for a side quest! No matter what I tried he remained there! When I saw the blacksmith at the wedding he still had the side quest icon over his head so I tried talking to him to buy the needed potions, but was unable to as there was no option to buy anything or trade.

I hate unfinished business and I hope that after the wedding the bug/glitch will correct itself? I'll see, but in the meantime I'm just going to ignore the side quest and finish the wedding! I've come across a few bugs in my travels as well before the wedding, but those would make my post longer than it should be.

However, I will share one because it's comical! A log-cutter was sawing air while he majestically floated down the road while complaining about the heat! LOL
Anyways I'm sure a patch will be forthcoming from War Horse to fix said bugs/glitches sometime soon I hope! Regardless, I'm still really enjoying KCD 2 and hope I don't come across any game breaking bugs/glitches in the meantime! :cozybethesda:

You could try brewing the potion without the in-game recipe. It should already be findable all over the net now. Maybe that helps.

I do love both Kingdom Come Games very much - Even with or mayne because all of their jankyness.

Let me share some funny interaction with the crime system I had. During the Quest for the Blacksmith where you try to find his hired hands, I was tasked ro catch one of the two, as he had fled the scene of a fight. I got him and convinced him to come with me back to the camp and Sir Semine.
He should have been bound to a tree but instead he was stroaming around the camp, while I was looting the bandits corpses left from the skirmish.
As I picked up a bandit's weapon, the Prisoner got mad. Stealing from the Dead is a serious crime, he told me, pay me 500(!) Groschen or I take you to the Bailif. I was having none of it, but my intimidation failed and he attacked. The problem was that he was un-targetable now. I could not harm him, while he just struck blow after blow - who the hell gives a sword to a prisoner?

UPDATE: My Blacksmith in Tachov re-appeared after the wedding and jail sequence thank goodness! I was able to complete the quest and move on to other things!
Your anecdote about the prisoner was really funny and goes to show you that in this game you might want to expect the unexpected! LOL. Thanks for the advice too, but I didn't need it as it worked itself out!
Anyways KCD 2 is a really fun RPG! I haven't really played the first one all that much, but the second one has me glued to my screen! It's really well put together in spite of the bugs and glitches that plague almost every game that comes out. I hear that WarHorse is going to release another patch soon so I'm looking forward to the fixes. I like this game so much that I even bought the DLC for it in support of the Devs! Looking forward to more storytelling and interaction!
Unfortunately I may be asking for more trouble with even more bugs and glitches with the DLC, but I'll worry about that when I get there.

It happened I held E on the pot and mistakenly poisoned it.
Because I did not know if a quest related NPC will eat from it, I reverted to an old save and lost 30 minutes of progress if not more.
Better 30 minutes lost then writing later that there is a bug.
