Dragon’s Lair Quest Bugged?

After finding the bones and killing everyone else who tried to take them, I can’t talk to either Slava or Gerhard. The only option that comes up when I walk close to either one of them is “Rob.”

The quest seems bugged.

That’s what I ended up doing. I noticed the bones were gone too, so I think sleeping makes them disappear.

In order to finish the quest, I had to deliver them in the middle of the night instead of sleeping first.

It's one of those quests with a hidden timer. Some you can sleep before hand-in, some you can't and it's rarely made obvious.

i didnt even find any dragon bones despite going there as fast as i could after talking to the beaten up guy

The timer either starts as soon as you speak to the monk or before that, right after speaking to the abbot.

The reason is that multiple groups were sent to find them, so you need to get there first (and if you do, you’ll need to kill a lot of people who will try to take it from you).

I think the the problem might be that if you start this quest let's say 7pm (like I did) you might have to wait Monk Slava until next morning to continue the quest. At least for me I couldn't talk to him after I got back delivering the message. If you wait until the morning, the bones are gone no matter what you do. I sent a bug report even though I was able to finish the quest properly now.
