Alchemy Tips wanted
I'm probably cooked, but like-- Is it possible to attain Henry's Tier of Potions, with the use of Dried Herbs, at a certain alchemy level? I am poor at managing perishables, so I dry everything, and invest in perks as such.

I wanted to also get the most out of my effort at the Alchemy tables, so I got Secret of Matter perks, so am I cooked? Am I stuck on Strong? Tips wanted.

With the right perks, you can literally take rotten herbs and still get the best potions.

How? I do not see what perks grant me the ability to do that....either I make a potion that does its job or I somehow make a potion that might as well serve as a mixture of manure and water. On a sidenote how does it make sense to used spoiled herbs? Wouldnt you get better results from normal or is it just a safety net thing

i played about 90 hours so far. alchemy for me is just not needed. i made maybe 5 potions so far (forced by the quests mostly). so it's not really that important as maybe in the first game, right?

It is important for me, if I can't catch combos, and get rofl stomped in combat (Marigold Decoctions)
I get Henry's tier as long as at least one ingredient is fresh (even one out of three). If all are dried, I only get the strong version. So I pickup or buy the easiest to find for the potion(s) I want to make, and use my dried stash for the uncommon ones.

Alchemy is a powerful tool though, great for making money and killing enemies. Coating your weapons with bane poison makes them op.

I've read this a few times now. Does not the game hint that bane poison is better for poisoning food, while dollmaker poison is better for weapons? I've been coating my sword and bolts with dollmaker with good results, but is it bane better?

I like having small amount of various potions:
thievery boost let's me open hard or very hard locks sooner
nightvision is quite usefull for stealing or some stealth quests
some healing
fox, 50% more exp is quite a lot
dollmaker for arrows makes training marksmanship easier
bane for bolts for those one shot kills
strenght boost for later unarmed fights

I prefer dollmaker and the sleep poison for my weapons but I understand bane will work too.
Bane makes for a great pot poisoner.

Bane poison is by far much better, you just have to hit them once and they melt away.

If its anything like the first game, the more often you use the bow the better you will get at handling it

Thank you both :)
I think I've 20+ bane potions, will try on my bolts, and for now keep dollmaker on sword.

Works great with melee weapons as well, that's how I deal with groups of tough enemies.

Even armored? I didn't care for poison cus I assumed KCDII kinda took the realism and cranked it to 11 seeing as fighting an armored character, with a sword was all the worse for wear.. Until I spammed Master Strike, which is my literal crutch rn. lol

Can't land combos for crap, on my end.
